Would a Capsuleer ever get Dusty?

I wanted to hear some peoples thoughts on this. In your opinion could a capsuleer become an Dust mercenary? Would they even want to?

It may very well be that the pod tech and the sleeper implant that makes dust bunnies wouldn't even be compatible. On the other hand it could be an interesting story arc for a capsuleer to give up immortality in the skies for immortality on the ground.

Well From what I understand the Tech is actualy the same, just instead of an external burning scanner, it's apart of your clone's cortex and just a matter of getting a clone with the proper parts.

But I'm in no way an expert and I might be very very wrong... I would love to have that tech in the sky though...

If I am correctly informed it would be possible. The cloning technology as before mentioned should let the individual be able to access via the neuro-scientific technology behind.
But if it's possible to make jump bridges, live hundreds of years and travel through solar systems as if it was driving a car, then in my opinion it should be possible with such technological advancement to do this.

While the mechanism is similar, the technology involved is dramatically different. It's kind of like saying a CD should be compatible with a LP record because they're both information stored or written to spinny discs - yeah, they're similar, but the information is collected, stored, and recovered in hugely different ways.

Is there a place with lore on the dust-bunny burning implant? I saw the vid, but it did not say much to that effect....

...also Hey Esna.

Well he's asking if one could switch from one to the other. To this, the answer is "technically yes". You should be able to create a new clone with DUST tech, die, and awake being a duster.

The other question is: Could one be a capsuleer and duster at the same time? To that, the answer is no, because the DUST tech doesn't involve neural interfacing (trough a socket in the back of our necks), while capsuleers need it to be plugged onto our ships systems.

You could, by the same means, keep both capsuleer and duster clones and jump between them.

Capsuleer implants make the mind (which is conditioned into compatibility by training and a pre-existing genetic marker) into interfacing with massive mechanical and computerized systems.

DUST implants rebuild the brain stem to facilitate extremely-high-speed brainscans.

It was already been Dev-dropped somewhere that these things are in no way compatible, and I'm quite glad for that.

The DUST Mercenaries are also physically enhanced humans that are given extra physical strength to improve there performance on the battle field.
