Phishing sites

Ok so I was after my API today, put in http://www.eveonline.com/api and was somehow magicaly whisked away to a phishing site, which i did put my info into but realised pretty quickly logged and changed my passwords.

Just a friendly headsup google chrome is doing bad things

malware hijack

download and run malware bytes and check your .hosts file for redirects

and I cant see any typo sites so you been playing around on the wrong site somewhere and got an eve specific hack on your machine.

shopping around for bots or RMT?

Nothing that I can specificaly put a finger on, although I have recieved alot of e-mails from CCP lately

Not empty quoting, this seems quite specific phishing so i'd be inclined to think you were doing something no-no related with eve.... Roll

you should typically only get 2 a month, the newsletter and your subscription renewal notice. Perhaps the occasional promotion

The best advice that I can give to anyone who needs to go to sketchy sites. For whatever reason it might be, is to use a virtual computer. So that way your actual computer dosen't get any crap malware/viruses...

For those who don't know what a virtual computer is. There is a free program that Microsoft has for download where you can run a virtual computer in a window that has no ties with your OS whatsoever. Which has been keeping me virus free since '08
