Hey guys, recently joined up with the Caldari militia and attempted to FC a gang of Hookbills and a few destroyers.

I went with a dual web Hookbill, but I am fairly certain it was a fail fit so I won't even bother posting it.


Does anyone have some decent solo/small gang Hookbill fits?

I've heard about a TD Hookbill and, like I said, tried a dual web setup.

#2 If you are in a gang of Hookbills and Dessies I assume you are plexing. You should not all be fir the same way. The Dual Web Hookbill used to be a fancy beast at solo work. Orbit enemy frig at 7km, apply webs + rockets = win?.

If you have a small fleet 5-10 guys you should get some force multipliers in there. Are you defending a plex? Attacking a plex? Roaming around?

My recommended makeup for a general roam. 2 Griffin (rainbow fit) + 5 Destroyers (DPS fit) + 3 Frigs Web/Tackle fit.

As to your technical question on Hookbill fittings...it depends...fleet fits are different from solo fits, and a lot of people solo fit Faction Frigs.

Clue me in as to what you are looking to fight and I can be more helpful. If you plan to fight other frigs, you are usually better off with the Dual-Web, if you are looking to fight cruisers and up (gun boats) you are probably better off with 1 web and 1 TD...rock, paper, scissors!

I was mainly referring to solo work, I just mentioned that I had used a Hookbill in fleets, which we did indeed vary our setups.

I love the Hookbill, these are basically all the fits I have used and I get a fairly large number of kills in them.
