When other game producers realize their MMO is unfinished, they abandon it and make an expansion which tears the players off into a completely new area.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

When CCP's product is broken, they don't notice for 18 months, then promise to fix it Soon™

"It's easy to speak for the silent majority. They rarely object to what you put into their mouths." -Abrazzar "the risk of having your day ruined by other people is the cornerstone with which EVE was built" -CCP Solomon

CCP created a game that's actually fun to play. Theme park MMO producers create hamster wheels.

I played other MMO's and the main difference in my eyes is that CCP actually cares about their game.

By design CCP has a policy that very clearly and directly states that client borne faults are not subject to any form of compensation under their petition system and they furthermore don't even bother logging information from players clients for this very reason.

I got to find this one out for certain when I had a rather nasty loss from the recent graphic bugs that seem to have grown in severity. It's revealing when you consider that a company will create a policy to escape the faults of it's product.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

You will find that every EULA has some form of escape clause in it to prevent the parent company from ever actually being at fault for anything. Perish the idea.

I may not normally agree with you Poetic, but your statement is 100% correct

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

This.
Dont see Blizzard or anyone making amusing music videos about their game. HTFU rocks!

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.
