BC skilltree changes.

From the newer Dev blog we are told that the changes wont be coming anytime soon as we were told. Im guessing alot of people have been skilling up all racial cruisers recently so this news is pretty pathetic.

What makes matters worse is they knew about it and didnt say anything. They knew about it along time ago because in the blog they state theyre re balancing other ship classes so only when theyre balanced will they implement the BC tree.

The skills are nice to have but I could have left them at lvl4 for a fair bit longer and trained something I wanted at that time.

Great to be kept in the dark CCP.

2. I spent unused skill points to make sure I had L5s in BC and destroyer on time for Inferno 0.5, but am not worried that I wasted them on the rush.


Better communication would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath nor is it CCPs fault.

All speculation carries some risk, whether it is market speculation or skill speculation.

You took a bet on the skill changes happening soon. They didn't.

Looks like the risk didn't pay off. Now quit whining.

I don't trust your math. Show me it. Cruisers have the most T2/T3 variants; surely this would unlock the greatest number of ships and therefore be the most useful?

All that happened is that CCP said a little about some options they were thinking about for some changes and a bunch of players jumped to conclusions as normal.

CCP might be a bit more open about their thoughts if players weren't so childish about ideas that are floated but never actually go anywhere.

The L5s still have use - it's not like you're training dead-end skills.

How could BC V ever be a waste of sp? Shocked

That said, I was a bit uncomfortable with the proposed changes. I rather liked that there were a few classes of ship that were non-racial (although you did have racial cruiser prereqs to fly any racial BC). It also pointed to the fact that the BC is the all-round combat subcap in EVE. I thought that was kind of neat. The thought of getting every racial BC I'd like to fly to V seems like ... well, just a timesink for timesink's sake really.

I actually don't believe you. Please show me your maths.

Also, did I miss a DEV Blog where the proposed changes needed cruisers at V in order to use the racial BC skills at V? Because as I understood it, one of the proposed option was simply adding racial BC skill instead of a blanket BC skills. That said, you need...what a Cruiser 3 or 4 to train BC currently? Why would you cross train them all to V? That seems excessive unless you actually want those cruisers skills now.

OHH NO I get the most out of the bonuses for the most flown class of ships in the game because I read about a speculative action occurring in the indeterminate future.

Edit: I am also planning on training BC V but there is no butthurt to be had from me.

CCP said when they made the announcement pf the changes that it would be a while and would occur after dessies and BCs had been rebalanced.

If you didn't realize they meant what they said, then its your own fault.

Will have BC5 done in a few days. Could care less really when the change is made. I at least will already be prepared for it regardless.

In fact, I am a bit happy cause I finally had a reason to mix my brain around and start focusing on per/wil skills once and for all - something that was quite overdue.

Besides, I still have 3 bonus remaps :D

Not when you consider that with Cruiser skill lvl 5 in all racial types, you get all T2 Cruisers for the cost of 1 skill per type
