Obviously you conveniently forget to include the fact that after Jade organized a sizable force to counter the GSF WarDec

You mean the force which I believe would be 10-20x (if not more) the number we have living in hisec, while repeatedly screaming "OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", all the while whinging about how this was just CCP "giving in to the goons because the goons are afraid"?

Hahaha, what a fail excuse. Man, talk about clutching at straws. Guess it's OK if the shoe is on your foot. Thanks for reinforcing the suspicion.

Doesn't matter how many members are in high security, low security or null security at any given time. What matters is the amount of Alliance members total, not the amount of members living in a specific security segment of the Eve Universe.

Point in fact : In real life, there is no limit on amount of Allied forces an entity can have, no participation time limit nor is there an extra cost incurred for having said Allies.

You're paying concord for the right to have your personal grudge with an alliance/corp ignored by them for a set period of time. Basically bribing the cops to look the other way. Why should they accept more looking away than they are paid for?

I must be living in a parrellel game universe to the OP:

Lots of people use in-game mechanics to shoot defenceless targets. Working as intended.
Lots of people use in-game mechanics to shoot powerful targets. Not working as intended.

You can see why this sort of reaction from CCP will generate conspiracy theories, as it looks like you need to have friends in the right places to get things done.

tl/dr Apparently, Goons are the new old-Bob.

Maybe since if your looking for a realism argument, GSF is notorised by Concord as being the same organisation that used publicised terrosit tactics on Jita traffic in numbers which was totally against their mandate? Blink

Would be interesting to perhaps consider the average security value of an organisation and have war dec metrics applied in correlation to them. More expensive for criminals as a result. And whilst I recognise that null organisations arent effected by this mechanic on their home ground and wouldn't be potentially recognised as an issue, it might go some way as to determining Concord opinion to the costings associated with the task they have to achieve.

I mean if your going for a realism debate might be wise to apply mechanics in keeping with criminal reputations as a result?

When we decided Bob need to die, we didn't spend our time whining about them on GD. We got our act together and kicked them out of EVE. So, how about you and your space men put together an alliance and see if you have what it takes to sprout more than just hot air?

Oh, you think I actually care about the difference in numbers? The only reason I pointed out the difference in numbers is your use of the word "sizeable force". It just struck a funny bone, since in null, accusations of "blobbing" usually begin at "my force + 1", not 20x.

But I guess you're going to just gloss over the fact Jade basically abused the system to let everyone who'd wardec us anyways (like 0rphanage etc, who just sit outside jita 4-4 23.5/7, I guess vOv) get in on a wardec for free. And if I'm not mistaken, a devblog said that hole was being plugged, at which point Jade basically began frothing at the mouth bitching about how CCP was in league with goons, and how "the goon leaders were afraid, while the linemembers weren't" (of what, I don't know, Jade never elucidated).

And, of course, now the anti-goon crazy brigade is going to come out in full force, again. Sigh.

Considering your part of the issue, piling in on the side of an anti Jade blog which isn't very complimentary, doesn't look very good, and shows you don't have neutrality.

You should not have posted as a CCP rep to be honest.

What if Soundwave has a better and clearer understanding of the situation and the reasoning behind the change than you do? Hmm?

Nah, hang on, he's just the lead designer, what does he know of the reasoning behind any changes made to EVE? What nonsense.

Heh, quote me correctly next time instead of manipulating it into a troll.

Anyway, you're like the Kettle calling the Pot black.

Now about abusing the system and bringing in overwhelming numbers, sounds a lot like the current 'Miners are destroying Eve' campaign advertising for everyone to suicide gank mining ships in high security.

I would say 'Deal with it' but obviously a higher power has already done that.

Interesting how only the super large Alliances like this new change, obviously it favors them a lot but hey, keep spouting your rhetoric and maybe you'll be able to pull the wool over the eyes of some more players.

As lead designer he should be neutral and not coming in on any side of the argument.

So I guess pointing out that something is close to the truth is "taking sides", when one side is competing in the tinfoilhat of the season competition by sprouting theories about goons telling CCP how to design game mechanics.

Why don't you just come out and say "stop posting, I don't like the things you say" instead of trying to hide behind the "you're not neutral enough" bullshit?
