i haven't played in a few years. only 26k players online, i could have sworn it was about 40k before?

empire seems to lag alot less. haven't gotten stuck in jitta, either.

walking around your jailcell upon station docking appears meaningless. figured i could walk to the bar to meet other people or interact with npc agents but obviously i am just stuck double clicking to move the avatar. i would rather spin my ship.

are they still gun-ho on lag-fleet warfare? i would like to see an incentive to return to small gang and solo pvp warfare for players that do not have time and space to commit to fleet ops.

anything happening in the politics of eve? small summary would do.

Cool

CCP did some hardware voodoo and fixed the lag a little bit, solo is pretty much dead along with small gang pvp,

IT Alliance practically failcascaded from the combined assault from the NC, Clusterfuck Coalition and others and lost the entirety of Fountain within a month, then prominently failcascaded and left their space at the mercy of anyone and everyone (massive sov grab next 5-6 months).

After a 6 month assault from the combined forced of NCdot (Triumvirate mkwhateverthefuck) BOB's latest reincarnation Raidendot and the combined DRF forces (WN XIX SOLAR) The Northern Coalition (BFF's 4 life) lost all their space and mostly failscaled with the exception of Morsus Mihi and Razor Alliance (ME and RAGE failscaled early on, it was rather amusing).

After a few months of perpetual boredom in their new holdings NCdot Radiendot Mercilessdot and Pandemic Legion got rapecaged in VFK (about 40 odd supers) the headquarters of The Clusterfuck Coalition, and gave up after 2 weeks. Which leads us to the current state of affairs, White Noise are on a holy campaign against AAA and Co because their is no other entity left to fight other than themselves (Giant NAPfest to kill smaller NAPfest even though NAPfests aren't ~elitepeeveepee~)

-A- and friends lost most of their Eastern holdings, Tenerifis and Omist and much of Catch (the home of -A-), while GoonSwarm Federation are on a holy quest to Freeport the entirety of Delve (Possibly Querious and Period Basis?). As well as initiating a war against hisec Ice Miners to drive price of Oxygen Isotopes through the roof.

Hope that helped.

EDIT: Sovmap current state of 0.0

You should probably read this: Some Curves Aren't

Then read this: Reality Check

Then read this: Hilmar's letter to EVE

Then read this: Winter Expansion 2011

Yeah... that should all help catch you up to whether EVE may or may not be dying. The new Star Wars game looks like WoW with lightsabers so we can only pray CCP sorts their lives (and our game) out. Cool
