Stop my ship button

We have approach, orbit, warp to, keep at range, and all the other buttons on the same area.
But no stop my ship button. That one is located to where ever your hud is placed. Or hitting Ctrl-Space.

I think there should be a stop my ship button.

+1 for this idea.

That button already exist. You just haven found it yet. Its a small one. Really, no kidding or trolling.

Also before you post your's absolutely great ideas how abbout asking someone in game or googling first?

CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental and Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

If you are referring to the little triangle icon to the left of the velocity meter. I am aware of that. However that is not was I'm referring to.
The buttons on the selected item menu are as following for a selected ship:
Approach
warp to within ( )
Board ship
orbit
keep at range
lock target
look at
show info

Why isn't stop my ship in that list?

While it is not absolutely necessary to have that button with the rest of the group it would seem logical that it should be there.
Why to place it there?

Maybe for the same reason CCP made it possible to overheat your modules with shift click instead of a tiny button.

Maybe for the same reason they implemented a lot of stuff, which might or not might have been necessary or useful, like the new Jump button we have.

But I keep it to the fact that it is logical to have it there with the rest of your control menu.

What do all of those have in common?

They're actions you take that are related to the ship or object you have selected. Stopping your ship is an action that is related only to your own ship, so logically it's control is with the other controls for your ship.

Yes that is true.
I just find it easier navigation wise to include that button in the selected menu instead of having to go to HUD and click it.
But that is my preference.

"Yeah, I know it's there, but I wish the control was somewhere else" isn't a valid reason for adding buttons in randomly. Especially when they don't belong where you're asking for them to be.

Regardless of where you wish they were, the fact remains that actions related to another object go in one spot and actions only pertaining to your ship go in another spot.

This. In Case u missed it. The only reason the ctrl-space shortcut is bothering you is prolly because you lost your space bar. in which case, u need a new keyboard. not an extra button on the overview that adds unnecessary size to the already huge game client.
