Please CCP let us donate PLEX for Italy earthquake

I for one will remain on topic by supporting this wonderfull thought over idea put on the forums CCP always read and would highely recommend we keep bumping this thread until they see it.

No amount of PLEX can save Italy or the Eurozone from the nightmare which is to come.

Best to just forget about them like they're already dead.

Thank god I'm not the only one that saw it this way, yes any earthquake is bad and if one occurred and left me homeless somehow I think the last place I'd come for help would be the EvE-O forumsRoll

Putting CCP's PLEX efforts into aspect:

Haiti Earthquake (3rd world country) - 316000 people died, $14 billion in damages

Japan Earthquake/Tsunami - 15891 people died, between $15-36 billion in damages


Italy so far - 25 dead, $6 billion in damages

As already said if this thread is to influence CCP into more PLEX for charities I'd rather it seen go to real disasters or global crises.

OP well I am glad you have tons of ISK but it doesn't help the Real World.
Somebody has to pay RL cash to help those in need.

If you are really that concerned then find a charity and send them some RL cash.

I'm pretty aware of those humanitarian organisations, I'm at 15mn center Geneva and actually work with them sometimes, most of the money you send there stays for internal needs (those pay bills/salary too) and most of the OGM's have personnel that doesn't live with good intentions and awesome words, in fact most of them do it because it's financially worthy.

Humanitarian stuff? -90% jokes 10% real ones

My guess is the same places.



My guess goes for local red cross (volunteers), witch would be by far the most serious one.

I wasn't aware of your initiative, as an Italian I sincerely sympathize. Expect a plex from me in the next few days, even if this initiative doesn't get through, it's still commendable and worthy of respect.

I was actually fairly close to the epicentre when two of the major quakes happened. And yes, it wasn't Japan, it wasn't Haiti, but I assure you it wasn't a joke either.

They never are. However to put things into scale, The earthquake you felt was 10,000 times lighter than the megathrust slip that hit Japan in 2011 which lasted 6 minutes. The big issue you have in Italy is Naples which is a disaster waiting to happen.

The way it works:

Player donates a PLEX to a particular CCP toon.
CCP removes the PLEX from the game and donates the cash used to create the PLEX to the cause.

At the same time, I don't feel it invalidates the cause or the effort, since he's obviously trying to get some attention to something that probably has gone unnoticed world wide...

Anyways, regardless of that, donating a few ISK to a charity that involves eve online can't hurt, at the very least it will build a good reputation for the eve online community as a charitable lot! (LOL :P)
