I'm on a trial acct & the game works just fine but when I log off or just quit the game my desktop goes pink. What is causing this issue and how do I prevent it?

It is obviously a graphic issue on your end. Update you graphics drivers as a first step.

After quick googling it seems to be a bug in NVIDIA graphic drivers. Not specific to EVE Online.

I'm not sure if NVIDIA has fixed it yet, try googling for e.g. "pink screen nvidia" or something like that. And definitely update drivers.

Try playing in fixed window instead. It feels like fullscreen but it doesn't dominate controls and screen access like fullscreen does so that you can tab out easy and have other windows even sitting on top.

There appears to be a problem with fullscreen and it seem to cause this pink screen effect that people are seeing.

I have the same problem. I also get artifacts randomly.

I'm using an Nvidia graphics card with fully updated drivers. It's odd and it happens on a number of games as well.

I would suggest that you file a petition under Technical Support a GM might know why it is happening.

i've seen faulty video cables cause the entire screen to go pink. check your cables and especially the pins on each end. make sure none of them are bent and make sure there's nothing blocking the input (female) on your video card. even if you see nothing, try another cable. if that doesn't work, locate another monitor and test by using it. if neither of those pan out, you may have an issue with your video card. good luck.

Thanx for the tip. If I bring ot down to a window b4 exiting there's no problem.

I have the abiliy to switch GPUs on my laptop and noticed that the pink screen only happens when I'm using the onboard graphics. When I switch to my NVIDIA card I don't get pink screens anymore so it has to be the graphics card. If you're using a desktop computer try reseating the card (if possible). You can also try finding up-to-date drivers like others have suggested but I'm not sure if that's the problem.
