Can Eve General Discussion be about Eve?

There are so many "counter" threads in here (a "counter" is an online forum phenomenon, where people start stupefyingly dull "counting" threads like `rate the avatar above you', `let's see if we can get this thread to 1,000,000', etc. etc.). Can Eve General Discussion return to being a discussion about Eve please? The biggest change on the forums since I was last in game about a year ago has been the degradation of the forums; kind-of seems to go with the design change too.

You'll notice there are a lot more threads in which there is complaining about certain aspects of the game than there are avatar/counter threads. The latter just live longer. Whether the former are better, I don't know.
I do still see lots of discussion though.

And at least the "like and get likes"-thread still revolves about the game, too. Not in title, but when it comes to content. Well, not 100%, but there are screenshots shown and the like.

It is so hard to take picture-less posters seriously. I mean, honestly, it's just screaming the fact that either:
a) you're too scared to post with your main
b) you don't actually play the game.

Neither one gains you any respect.

In any case, these are "EVE General Discussion" Forums. Nothing specialised there as long as the topics have something, anything, to do with Eve.

That is what people do here. They grief the forums add as much misinformation as possible.

Exactly right. They're the most positive, non-whiney things in GD. The only thing more positive was the "Need advice on how to sober up quickly" thread in Out of Pod.
