Hey

Not sure where to put this, being as i'm newish i'll put it here.

I've noticed some odd ships/players in the overview in the type column i see a ship called say ibis and the name column also say ibis, so i right click and 'show info', everything appears normal apart from the players name is not clickable no avatar no right click nothing.

There is also another ship in the overview right next to it with the same name an type column again but different type of ship but same class cruiser/cruiser, frigate/frigate, etc 'show info' shows the same player name! Again not clickable, also the player cannot be seen in chat.

I've seen this a few times over the last few days usually camping a gate or station, the players are usually week old or so but join a corp straight away so gotta be alt's, and gamkers i bet.

Got a screenshot too.

Bug? Exploit? Trainer? Something i missed?

cheers

Sounds like someone ejected from a rookie ship and boarded another ship. Just because a ship is named "X's ship" doesn't mean they're actually in it, it's just the default name.

^ This. All they did was abandon ship. Might be some profit in jumping in those ships and reprocessing them :D I remember in one of the rook systems someone took an orca, loaded it up with a crap ton of shuttles, and jettisoned them all. I collected them up and reprocessed them. 30m in minerals.

_It's very simple, really. If you see Tengus on scan, they are ratting. If you see a shitload of Tengus, the Russians are blobbing. If you see Proteuses on scan, they will be on top of you in about a second. If you see a shitload of Proteuses, the big boys are having a goodfight. _

You can always try, but don't eject from a ship to board it, someone could get your ship while you end with a rookie ship. Lol
AFAIK, I think it doesn't even trigger any aggro so I think they can't even shoot you down for stealing the ship.

I often see noob ships abandonned near stations or gates... those people littering space!
Maybe they're teleported from their ships by the jovians for experiments...

Hmmm . . . how did they get 1,350+ shuttles into an Orca?

Adding an extra zero when telling the story later on? History is full of things like that.

The unclickable ships that follow you around are just a graphical glitch, it happens to me a couple of times a week too. Usually just jumping to another system or docking will fix it.
