what happens to carriers and titans when....

....a player changes ships? does the undockable ship just sit in space until it gets re-used?

I would guess they work just like any other ship you leave in space - it stays there until someone boards it.

If you have alt capable of flying that ship, you could use alt to board it and then let it disappear when alt logs off. Or just leave ship within POS forcefield.

EDIT: btw, carrier can dock

Old ship goes into Ship Maintenance Bay last time I checked. Would stay in space if there wasn't enough room left, I guess.

Its why titans are often called coffins and many people use an alt to live in them instead of the toon they do everything with.

Everything else can dock. Titans are logged out on so that they vanish in space or vanish inside the pos shields.

1.) Capital Ship Maintenance Array (CSMA) can hold titan / supercarrier.

2.) Using a babysitting alt, log in alt, ship warps to the POS (where it logs of in), alt leaves ship, pilot board ship. When done, pilot leaves ship, alt boards ship and log off.

3.) Leave ship and let it float in your POS. Someone finds out the password and bumps it out and steals it or someone shoots your POS and steals it.
