Over Heating Modules?

Greetings

Things I know. Modules can be over heated. Modules have levels of resistance to over heating. Modules over heat in a particular order on their respective slots i.e. high, med, low. Modules can act as heat sinks in this process.

Things I would like to know. What determines the order? The position in the fitting window or how they are positioned on the HUD?

No one knows for sure and devs aren't giving the exact formula but they have stated that EFT's formula is fairly accurate presentation.

The position on the fitting screen.

Example: Put non active modules in between hardeners/reppers. If you clump active modules in 1 corner then each 1 on the side of the overheated module will get damaged.

So,
[repper] [heatsink] [EM hardener] The right way
[repper] [EM hardener][heatsink] The wrong way

It doesn't matter how they look in the hud :)

Thanks for the explanation, now for the next question. On the fitting screen looking at the Modules as if a clock face, does heat damage go clockwise or counter? The reason being if I want to protect my MWD the longest it would make sense to have it positioned farthest away from what starts getting heated first, or does it just take into account which Mods are next to it ,(place the MWD in the middle so as to have two heatsinks either side)

The damage goes both ways. Thats why you separate actives modules, otherwise they will take extra damage.

It also wraps around. So active overheatable modules on opposite ends will do more damage to each other.
