You know, the guy who recently tweeted that he's now in the CFC and the group whom has been getting closer and closer to EVE in what looks very much like a buyout situation.

Thatll make you guys supremely happy. You want the game "destroyed" after all.

And dont give us that crap about how thats not what you meant

Yeah whoo boy I sure do love dumping my money into a game that I hope goes under next week. I sure won't feel like I wasted my time at all.

Ah, but the thing is, see, if the aim of the Goons really were to destroy the game, then you wouldn't have wasted time and money doing it, would you?

If one's idea of "fun" is to **** up other peoples' fun, then time and money invested in ******* up other peoples' fun is time and money well spent.

Confirming that Goons don't want to enjoy a video game. In fact, goons actually hate video games. It goes against their strict Jewish Orthodox doctrine.

Money pissed away is money pissed away. While I encourage you guys to view us as the villain and actively work towards us getting our "Come uppance" I'd like you to keep things to plausible reality.

Right now somebody is floating in the clouds and screaming about chem trails.

No offense, but while I'm successful enough in my real life that I can enjoy putzing around an evening shitting up an internet forum, I'm not wealthy enough to just throw away uh... give or take $500 in order to see a game company fail. Not to mention giving them money if that was my stated goal: Kinda counter productive.

Sell me on the concept of removing local that doesn't decimate the population in nullsec. The benefits to living there aren't all that much of an improvement over empire.

Remove local in null: null-bears move back to empire

Cut PVE income in high-sec: many serious ISK-grinders will move back to null (lot of them null-alts anyway)

Make NPC less predictable to reduce the risk-free nature of empire PvE

Nerf excessive projection of power by a increasing the fuel-cost of capitals, to end massive NAP-trains acting as Mass Effect's Reapers, culling null-population many regions away. Impending boredom-rot will limit the size of NAP-fests as well.

Ofcourse as a Goon, I'll suspect you'll be against anything that will end GoonSwarms absolute dominance in EVE (as this bundle of changes will).

You seem quite confident. "as this bundle of changes will."

So do you have a link to the patch notes? Maybe those changes won't, after all.

Goonswarm do you think EVE cant die? I played in Star Wars from its start until it died. At its high point it was way more popular than EVE will ever be. We thought it could never die.

You thought wrong. Looks like you're still thinking wrong. EVE isn't a cookie-cutter MMO & has not reached it's high point. Subscriber numbers climb each year, can you name any other MMO that has achieved this 9 years running?

Subscriber numbers may be growing but the number of active players online at any given time has been declining a lot. There are not even half as many players online at any given as there were a year and half ago. Seriously, the number of active players on the server now is about what is was when I started playing 6 years ago.

Other than that, what you said is fairly insightful. A weird day for me to start posting on the forums.

Why would any of that destroy our domination?

We have a group that loves gate camping and hot dropping. We have an ad-hoc 24 hour gate camp of the easiest route into our space, with no organization. We encourage new FCs to try it out by taking a bunch of drunk assholes in frigates flying around enemy territory looking for a fight. I suspect that we'd adapt very well to no local.

Your second two points, well, we're actively doing that. Lemme tell you about a little something we call hulkageddon...

The final point, heh. Yeah, that would probably hurt us, but you know what? It would hurt our enemies even more. I mean, you heard the whining and moaning when they nerfed titans. Could you imagine the screams of rage if you nerfed their ability to even move around? It would perhaps be the... death to supercaps. And it doesn't really 'destroy' our ability to project power. With a few exceptions, our main field of influence has been within one bridge of our territory, sometimes two. So we'll just stockpile our fuel and save it for when it's really necessary.

And when it's really necessary? Well, moons and OTEC are an investment. You don't think our leaders would pony up for fuel to go beat up NC. again if they reformed and took tech moons again?

So basically your changes would, 1.) Make nullspace more difficult for people who aren't part of a large organization with the structure in place to secure it's space (ie, not us), 2.) would achieve goals we had already set out, but faster (ie, help us), and 3.) screw over supercap-heavy alliances with anemic subcap fleets, and make our lives slightly more boring (ie, Death to Supercaps).

You know, I feel like if I suggested these things, I would get shouted down for trying to destroy hisec/welcome to GOONS online/BLOBBER BLOBBER BLOBBER. Doesn't meant they're good ideas though.
