You have any idea how many standing slots there are currently?

on Alliance lvl - around 2500 is the cap not sure tho. I'm not alliance diplo, only corp.
on Corp lvl - 1024 is the cap
on personal lvl - no clue guessing around 500.

the proposal is two parts tho:

1. more standings slots - i use 2-3 hours pr. week on sorting standings at corp lvl. and sending names to personal lvl.
2. a way to subscribe to a standings set by an entity - ex. if I fly with CVA NRDS in Provi i subscribe to CVA standings and don't have to be arsed with setting standings.

also i'd like to add the option of localized standings.
example:
corp x has corp y set as red due to allinace standings.
corp x runs a POS chain in corp y lowsec area.
corp x makes a blue agreement with corp y in the lowsec systems around their POS chain but everywhere else they are still red.

I've added:

- Increase the number of allowed standings on player, corporation and alliance level (currently around 500, 1024 and around 2500) to facilitate NRDS communities and playstyles

- Enable a mailing-list type of system for distributed standing updates by a central entity (like for example the diplomats of a coalition of alliances) to which players, corporations and alliances can subscribe.

As for the 'localized standings', sorry but that goes on the bottom of the list. I can see it has some merit (especially if you reverse it into 'no-entry' zones for friendlies), but it seems like it'd just create a big mess, piling up a ton of exceptions on top of something already a head-ache for most players (and definately any diplomat).

INFERNO UPDATE: WARDEC MECHANICS

Added the following issues found so far concerning wardec mechanics:

● Return the missing timeline bar from the old ‘losses report’ tab in the corporation window and add its functionality to the war reports, showing kills and losses over a timeline bar with a customizable timescale.
● Leaving a corporation during an ongoing war, puts ‘(deserted)’ behind the corporation’s entry in the player’s employment
history. Depending on feedback, make it temporary (like for three months)
● Searching for a corporation that is a member of an alliance with a current war, should show up as a result
● In the tab war history, add the option to show only wars currently active
● Add a button on entries in war lists to open the war report, instead of double-clicking the war entry itself
● Add a button on entries in war lists for directors of defending corporations to declare a war mutual (and for other players to display its mutual status) instead of awkward context menu option
● Put the ‘battleships’ entry below the ‘battlecruisers’ entry in the kill graph of the war report to maintain a more properly incrementing scale
● Allow unfolding ship-classes in the kill graph of the war report to separate T1, T2, T3 and Faction variations
● Allow loading more previous entries in the ‘all wars’ tab, similar to the transactions tab of the wallet
● Add the way a war ended to its description in the war entry (retracted, surrendered, disbanded, etc.)
● Require defending corporations to confirm a mutual status of a wardec after six months. Failure to do so returns the war to war-bill status. This allows attacking corporations to eventually shed wardecs of corporations that turned into empty shell corporations after declaring the war mutual.
● The tooltip for the corporation icons in the war list should show ‘attacker’ and ‘defender’ instead of ‘offender' and 'defender'. The opposite of 'offender' would be 'victim', but there is no crime, so no 'offender' either.
● Temporarily bridge the gap until the merc market and ally-contracts by making allies re-declare after a month

Please, help with adding more! The next update will likely cover (remaining) issues with the Unified Inventory.

And remember: we're always looking for more volunteers to join the WDATT editorial staff.

Tobiaz,

This is brilliant.

Thank you (and all those who've got involved in the editing) for compiling this worthy entry.

I've read through all of this and just kept nodding my head at (nearly!) every entry going "yes, yes, yes....thank Christ, yes, yes yes...."

Like others who have posted the same thing, I'd like to apologise in advance if my entries have already been suggested but were overlooked by me on my trawl.

1. When a Noctis has salvaged all the wrecks and is surrounded by floating cans a "Loot All" button for every can within 2500 metres would be great.

2. When you've been assigned Fighter Drones and you want them to "Return and Orbit" you will invariably click "Return Control" from the drop down menu instead of Return and Orbit because they are too close together (on the menu) (and Return Control is the first of the two options on the drop down instead of the other way around) Space them out better on the menu or put Return and Orbit at the top.

3 The Fleet window should display the type of ship you're in so that the FC can determin how many of each type of ship they have as opposed to getting people to "X up ship types in fleet". The window should also have a feature (like an Excel Spreadsheet) of being able to sort the "Type Of Ship column" from A-Z, again, making counting easier for the FC.

Please keep up the great work, it's much appreciated.

Mining drone laser animations are messed up again. I've seen this problem fixed before, but it's broken again. What happens is the lasers just don't show up. The drones work fine otherwise though.

Add the following drag and drop neocom buttons:
1. Ship inventory Button (opens new window for ships section in inventory)
2. Item Hangar Button (opens new window for items inventory)

Click on both buttons for 2 inventory windows open simultaneously.

If you dont want these buttons, dont drag them to your neocom.

Alright so I'm back from summer vacation. So time to get back to updating the list. We can always use more editors. It's kind of a big task. If anyone wants to volunteer contact me or Tobiaz. As long as we keep working at it, perhaps someday we'll get a sticky Lol

Anyways here's a small update for now

SMALL THINGS!

Interface (st)

● Ability to rename multiple ships at once
● Ability to select multiple factories to set up the same job
● Ability to select multiple installations to create routes to a common point
● Make corporation buy/sell orders be editable by other corp members with given roles
● Capacitor tooltip that shows time to depletion
● If there are two launch pads on a planet opening one closes the window for the other
● Add more distinctive icons for different subcategories in the unified inventory (container types, ship classes, corp hangar divisions)
● Auto-reply option (excludes mailing lists) so people know if you're on vacation
● Option when a corporation bulletin is created or modified to send a corp mail letting all members know
● Allow the overview coloration settings to also affect the chat listings
● Stop auto-scrolling when the players scroll up in the chat window. Similar to popular IM clients
● Option to remove the left -click-and-hold menu for items in space
● When assigned Fighter Drones, space out ‘Return Control’ and ‘Return and Orbit’ to avoid accidental clicking
● Add a Type of Ship column that can be sorted on to make it easier for FC to see how many of what ships
● Have a separate button for the ship hangar that would open a new window of the unified inventory at your ships

Mechanics (st)
● Reduced security status gain for destroying pirate NPC in 0.0 regions, encouraging sec-grinding in more dangerous low-sec space and reducing the ability of null-players to interfere in empire.
● Ability to save notes as an in-game item. Leave ‘message in a bottle’ idea
● Consider making Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer, and Skill Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' HY-# series, affect warp acceleration
● Non-offensive modules keeping their on or off status between gate jumps
● Location agents should provide the ability to reveal a player's NPC standings

Other (st)
● Put the API keys one the account management page, or pretty up the support page

BIGGER THINGS!

Interface (bt)
● Enable a mailing-list type of system for distributed standing updates by a central entity (like for example the diplomats of a coalition of alliances) to which players, corporations and alliances can subscribe.
● Give the loyalty store a hierarchical layout like the market
● Combine the Assets window into the Unified Inventory

Mechanics (bt)
● A way to fly in space using the keyboard
● Allow Super captitals to Dock/Anchor at a POS and set a password
● Modules or rigs that affect a ship's heat output / dissipation, allowing a ship to overload modules for a longer period of time or cool down more quickly
● Modules or rigs that reduce a ship's signature radius

nice post, a few things that are not good ideas but overall nice collection

bombers using bombs in high sec is a bad idea, a few bombers could destroy the entire jita undock...

The suggestion with ship alignment, I think is great... that a ship shouldn't become horizontal when you stop your ship... at least not right away... add a 2-5 sec delay before the ship will align horizontally (so it doesn't change alignment before that)

Supercap nerf - change ewar immunity https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=194759 Module activation delay! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1180934

Add notifications about contracts' status to EVE Gate.

The easiest way to do this should be by adding contract notifications to ingame EVEMail notifications.

--- UPDATE ---

After me and Logix had a summer recess, we will be taking up working on the WDATT project again.

We are currently also in the process of setting up a 3rd-party website for tracking the ideas&fixes proposed by the community. Yes, we are obviously aware that there are (several) sub-forums for that right here, but we think it's there is a better way to organize and streamline this feed-back process.

Hopefully in a few months, we will be able to launch the first phase of our plans to improve the contribution of EVE's community in improving this amazing game.

In the meantime we will try and keep the list further updated, working on the backlog the recent patches have created. As usual: we are always looking for more editors. Blink

Cheers!

Is this project still active?

I'd like to reiterate my suggestion to put the things in a bug tracker. This has several advantages:

  • Tags to organise issues by topic
  • Comments on individual issues, rather than having them buried in the forums
  • Labels for severity and priority
  • Tracking of issue dependencies ("can't fix X until Y is fixed")
  • Very easy to mark issues as resolved, "won't fix" etc.
  • Automatic list of issues, hiding resolved ones
  • Easy identification of duplicate reports
  • Voting for issues

To answer your question, we haven't updated the list for a quite a bit now but that's just because we've been really busy with RL. I'm still planning on keeping this project active.

We were actually thinking of putting things into a website but have been very busy so haven't had much of a chance to do that. If you suggested a bug tracker before I must have missed that. It's actually a really good idea. I will look into it. Thank you for the suggestion.

And bam, it exists. I've been spending the evening adding issues. Some I've ignored because I know they're fixed already.

If you create an account on there I'll add you as an admin.

edit: I picked Trac and a random free host but I believe it's not difficult to migrate from Trac if you don't like it or you want your own hosting.
