Hictor: Basic Questions

So, ive been looking at the Onyx Lately, and it seems like something i could get behind, but i have two questions:
Does the scripted Super Point shut off MWDs? It seems like it should, but the Script's Description sends out mixed messages:
Quote:
This script can be loaded into a warp disruption field generator to focus its effect upon a single ship much like a standard warp disruptor. This allows the module to scramble ships of any size, including ships normally immune to all forms of electronic warfare.

And how do Hictors stack up against Dictors? I know Dictors are for 'Bubble and GTFO' wheras Hictors are meant to stay on the field. Are Hictors worth it, considering I could get 6 Dictors for the price of one Hictor?

Seeing as a scram has a warp disrupt strength(?) of 2 and a disruptor has a warp disrupt strength of 1, and a scripted 'Super Point' has a practically infinite warp disrupt strength (I think it's somewhere around 90), I would be very surprised if a scripted Super Point didn't shut off MWDs. HIC pilots, feel free to confirm.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I prefer posting with my main.

Seeing as Scrams have "ActivationBlockedStrenght: 1" and the infinipoint and disruptor have "0", I would guess that the HIC's point does not, in fact, kill MWDs (the same way bubbles don't).

And it depends on the fight and how you define 'worth it', as with everything in Eve. HICs can have massive EHP and staying power, the only question is if it's worth it to you.

Probably should have made myself more clear on that -
In what situations would a Hictor be better than a Dictor and Vice Versa?
Also: For setting up Bubbles in Nullsec, would a Hictor or a Dictor be Preferable? In Gatecamps / Fleet fights, and why?

A Heavy interdictor would be more beneficial in a fleet fight involving capital ships, and even more so when super capital ships are involved for 2 reasons.
Firstly Interdiction ships are usually primaried in those fights and having over 100k+ ehp is better than having 6-8k ehp.
2ndly Deployable interdiction bubbles can be killed by smartbombs, so all a super has to do is pop them then jump/warp away.

The cheaper smaller interdictors are used effectivly on fast roams, gate camps etc.

Hictor is better when tackling supercaps. In fact it is the only option (other than bumping for 20 odd mins Shocked).

Hictor's focused infinipoint is ace for tackling haulers and discophoons with full rack of stabs (warpstabs).

Because of the tanking ability with a few sebos (Onyx has room) and / or remote sebos on it its a good choice for low sec camper tool. Not so for nullsec: In theory hictor is heavily tanked so that it can stay alive for a while. Not more survivable than a dictor though because the dictor has infinently more GFO ability which sadly makes the hictor ... die more often (and an expensive death at that.

In low sec, the Hictor infinipoint is the only thing that can tackle a supercap (except mass bumpage). I'ld say that unless you know exactly what you're doing, the dictor has more utility.

HICs do not shut off MWDs with either bubbles or focused points. Only warp scramblers do that.

Posting on this character because apparently some people get upset when they're asked difficult questions. M.

Hic infinate point is 30 KM if I recall. That makes it effectivly as good as a very spendy faction point, in a high slot. Its a nice feature tbh. Better tank (sometimes massive tank), some dps (not much). Onyx should generally NOT be a primary target.

Though I don't fly them much, I have fun in them when I do. I always have 1 fitted and ready to go.

[edit here] 2 different flying styles. I am not a gtfo pilot in most cases, so Hic fits my piloting approach.

As for 6/1 isk investment. If you lose 6 vs 1 its all the same in the end, right? And those 6 light interdicters are surely primary every time.

If I am out for a fleet fight in a HIC i am usually surprised when I get in home in one piece. The moment the bubble goes up is like raising a red flag.

For small roams it is a different thing, there the HIC is usually used to bubble gates (and sometimes ships inside a small POS).

From what I have seen dictors are more common (being the pricetag or survivability, dunno). since they usually just drop the bubble and then warp off.
The higher speed is utilized for catching fleeting ships. (Although i can fly them but never did, just noticed that in fleets)

And the field generator does NOT shut down MWDs (neither scripted nor unscripted)

The scrip actually aloud to tackle super caps/titans, so yes it's like infinite "scram" strength against regular ships (not really sure scram or just disrupt thou)

Confirming.

I have a max skill Onyx pilot.

You don't want to be the only HIC in a fleet, so that you can take turns activating a WDFG to get repped and capped back up. In a small fleet you can get by being a solo HIC, you just have to make sure people have points before deactivating your WDFG (assuming no supers of course).

Using a MWD is useful for getting into position to setup a drag bubble, but I recommend also carrying a Large Shield Extender II in your cargohold, so that you can swap out the MWD at a friendly carrier when in the middle of the action. You should also carry a cyno of course if you don't have one fitted. If you are camping, you can get by without the MWD fitted, as "camping" implies not moving.

I like to fit two WDFG normally (one scripted + one not, or two scripted). More is also great for closing a stubborn wormhole, as they reduce your mass.
