Who knows how many have been influenced by his works.

The simple answer: Everyone who has read modern western literature has been influenced by him, one way or another, either directly, or more subtly via his influences on other authors.

Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Heinlein: The four horsemen of modern SF - Without them, would EVE have even been concieved? Could EVE have been concieved? I doubt it.

My point exactly.

It would be nice, here in general discussion, to see what some of the devs have to say about the influence he had on them and what they think they took and used in their vision of EvE.

As you so very factually ask, where would EvE, or any other "sci-fi" game be today were it not for the heavy influence of those four masters?

Fly safe, Ray

Posting on this character because apparently some people get upset when they're asked difficult questions. M.

Bradbury was the first scifi author I ever read. My mother gave me some of her old books when I was 8 years old. I probably wouldn't be the geek I am today if it weren't for his inspiration.
