So I'm going to get a game system and I'm deciding whether to get a 360 Elite or PS3. 360's will be getting Halo 4 which I'm somewhat excited for and PS3's will be getting Dusr514 which I'm quite excited for. Should I go 360 or ps3?

Is this a mild troll or are you seriously basing your console buy decision on an FPS. On a console. Without a mouse. FPS... on a console. Ugh

Googly: Firefall - Planetside - Miner Wars - Unreal 4

Jeez..

But if you need your console FPS fix go here.

hopefully dust lasts longer.

doubt it. Console gamers are fickle by nature. Smile

I went with the 360, but I'm a rabid fan of the halo series and am anxious for the conclusion....though somewhat muted as bungie is not the developer working on it.

So close...

Conclusion? You should be smarter then this.

The conclusion was they beat the Covenant on the Ark with the help of a splinter Covi Fleet crewed by Elites. Earth is saved and their is an ambiguous ending where Mastercheif is left drifting. But wait theirs more which rhymes with four.

The real conclusion to the series is they stop making money and therefor new games and media. Until then there will be no conclusion just new plot devices tact on t the end of everything. Sorry to spoil the ending.

Halo was about the story and the AI was fun to fight against at the time. Overall I've enjoyed it more than CoD GoW or graw.

So close...

Just like computer games, it depends on the game. A lot of console games have VERY long lifespans....

Halo is designed to have a short shelf-life.

Dust is designed to live on for another 10 years +.

That said, i'd get the PS3. Aside from Halo, Gears of War and Forza, the Xbox has no games that aren't released on either or both PC and PS3 aswell. The PS3 has a lot more exclusives going for it (God of War, Infamous, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid and a bunch of others), the online is free aswell.

The Xbox has a lot of hidden costs: It might seem cheaper to buy, but it rapidly becomes more expensive once you "have" to buy the battery pack for your controller(s) and a subscription to play online. It also has a lot of other "special items" on offer if you need more specific things. I ran into this myself when the cable for the AV slot has a plastic lip that covers the HDMI slot, so if i wanted to hook up my 360 to a monitor and have the sound go through the RCA cables i needed a 'special adapter' for it, costing $20 or some such. The Xbox interface is a bit bleh, too many elements to it. I also can't really forgive it for showing advertisements on the main screen.

The PS3's controllers may be somewhat less liked, but Sony gives them proper batteries from the get-go aswell as a standard USB cable to charge them. The interface is easier to use and more intuitive aswell imho, you never 'switch screens', everything flows from the same main screen which has very little fuss around it. And, if you so fancy, the PS3 has bluray, where the 360 only supports DVD.

I have both, but i don't see a reason to get games for the 360 when i can play them on my PS3 or PC. Having Dust is just a bonus in the end.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...
