I hereby propose to color all postings by members of NPC corps in light green - for that is is the color of crappy magic items in World of Warcraft! Big smile
Forums will be a lot easier to read this way...

Does your crapposting come in poopbrown then? Maybe even with chunky parts.

This forum section really has no need of alt posting, alliance tournament is for alliances not cowardly NPC alts.

I reckon my alts and my main still pay the same amount of money per month, so their opinions are equally valid.

Can you confirm whcih servers this applies to, question was regarding the test server. Thanks in advance.

Sorry missed the bit about the test server, you can change corps and alliances as you like on Sisi. But based on actions taken by us so far I would be very wary if you intend to join someone else's alliance for "practice & logistics" reasons. Again, if your not sure about it, don't risk it.

Im sure about it, are you?

Holy smoke and mirrors batman!

This has sealed the deal for me on the AT this year. The new rules were intentionally left vague to allow freedom of implementation and then permission is given to do what people got banned for but with the caveat that you probably shouldn't do it even though it's not against the rules.

This whole situation has just turned from CCP enforcing what they see as a violation of their rules into a vindictive strike against a group that ruined the final match last year.

At this point I believe no matter how much they tried to stay within the rules Hydra and Outbreak were never going to get to compete this year.

Last year's AT was the first I watched and I enjoyed almost every bit of it, except for the last match. I was looking forward to this years tournament until all of this drama. The only thing of interest now is what prizes will be handed out simply because I'm curious about the ship rewards. I no longer care who wins or loses because the entire tournament is tainted from CCP's actions against Hydra and Outbreak.

Please note I dislike H and O after the way they acted last year but I can respect their dedication and skill. However right now I dislike CCP even more for not just manning up and saying they are mad instead of creating an elaborate hoop system to jump through to try and justify revenge.

Bolded the "No ****, Sherlock?" part. The AT team can dance around the issue all they want, the elephant is still intact in the middle of the room.

Because CCP likes to cover up Sreegs' little outbursts? Also, the moderation on this forum is about as random as it gets.

"All competing pilots must have been members of the alliance for which they are competing, and be a member of that Alliance by downtime on May, 05, 2012."

Its okay to leave the alliance for a couple of days after May 05 and then join again before the competions.
As i understand it you are allowed to compete as long as you were in the right alliance at downtime may 5th.

You must have been in your alliance from downtime on May the 5th and you must remain in your Alliance, if you leave you will not be eligible.

Then why does it not say that in the rules. I was in the alliance at the 5th and in an npc corp now. And i wanna join my team.
Who is incharge of this? Who do i need to petion to know if it can be fixed?

All rules are left intentionally vague so that they may be used against Hydra or Outbreak regardless of the circumstances.
In the event that no rule is vague enough to boot them out, one will be made up on the spot and enforced to it's fullest, undisclosed, extent.

Thank you.

NPC Alt checking in.

Otherwise the rule exists to make sure that players are actually part of their alliances and not just joining up for the tournament or switching around for it, J4AT's if you will.

I would suggest asking for an appeal to the alliance tournament e-mail and maybe the mails of the dev team in charge of the tournament. Be aware that the rule "All competing pilots must have been members of the alliance for which they are competing, and be a member of that Alliance by downtime on May, 05, 2012" does in fact say that you "must have been members" so you are asking for a special favor and should not be an ass about it.

I understand it, it just doesn't apply to forum posting - nobody respects anonymous cowards who don't have the balls to post their opinions under their own names.

You should probably learn to spell if you want to claim to be an authority on forum respect.
