Exploration - nothing but wormholes?

So it kinda gets depressing atm. I've been exploring for the past 10 hours, but the only things I've found were wormholes into low-sec. I generally probed solar systems between 0.3 and 0.7, and also no system had more than 2 pilots in the last 30 minutes. I really don't get it. I have astronometrics 4 and astronometric pinpointing at 2. I know people suggested getting astronometrics 5, but really I can't see how I can't find ANYTHING that's useful. I know it may be just bad luck, but it sure is a lot of bad luck now.

Do you have any tips where to start exploring and at least get some results other than wormholes? I really don't know anymore.

I would recommend getting pinpointing at 3 or 4 and also train Astrometric Rangefinding. Rangefinding will increase your scanning speed so you can search faster.

Also, if you can afford it, use a Sister's Probe Launcer and Sister's probes.

It happens don't get discouraged by this. Exploration is very luck based and I'm not talking about the loot only ( although that is also very random ).
There are days when you scan 30 systems and most ( or even all ) of them are empty but next day you can scan again and find a lot of sites.
In the end it will even out ( bad days and good days ). You just can't look at this on per-day basis.

There's plenty of wormholes in hi-sec and low-sec ( not so much in null-sec ) so finding them is not unusual.

Training for deep space probes ( Astro 5 ) is very helpful if you wish to be a professional explorer because it will greatly reduce the time you need to spend on scanning ( especially bigger systems ). It will also help to reduce the number of uninteresting signatures.

What region(s) are you normally scanning ?

Yup skills have nothing to do with what you find, just being able to pinpoint them. As a explorer you'll only find stuff forth while 25% of the time I'd guess.

Maybe try a Class 1 WH the only thing to find in WHs is other WHs and "real" sites and usually a WH system doesnt have much more then 2 or 3 WHs.

Hi dudes. Personnally, I've spent my whole day scanning and scanning around, in high sec and what I have found was only one miserably ''instable WH''. Shocked So keep going! Lol

Check your filters. There's a little drop down menu over where your scan results show up. Make sure you can see all of the sites. Other than that you were just one very unlucky dude considering you even tried dead low sec systems....if so I would never try skydiving or mountain climbing if I were you.

10 hours... straight? Holy shoe buckles, batman, did you map like 100-200 systems for real, or are you just really slow?

I would check your filter settings to make sure you're showing all, with low-population lowsec systems you should see some combat sites at minimum.

If your region of space is actually that dead on sites, gear up a BC and jump into some of the wormholes. 0.7+ generally has c1-c2 only, which have some combat sites that are fairly soloable. Or move to a region of Amarr far from a trade hub, nobody likes Amarr.

Why nobody likes Amarr?

I scan mostly for ships missioning so I can salvage their loots. You can make good money from this.
