Well, boat actually. And it's just a 2d course. But still.

One of the things I "find" so awesome. "mission" specific ships that only work well at one range band. If they had tried that on the Enterprise, it would have lasted two episodes before having the &%$£ kicked out of it by a giant space hamster.

Personally, I also think it's amazing that you can pop into a space station and in 30 secs have a completely different ship. Bring on the dockyards and if you want to update, it's going to take time while the engineers do a refit. I could understand modular systems for certain parts, but not when you can switch, for example, from a cruise missile launcher to a autocannon.
