Dear Community,

in the german EO Forum starts a discussion about a new game mechanic to disrupt a cyno. Its a great idea and i think a bit about and have some suggestions.

I imagine a new role based Ship with his own class named for example "Cyno Interdictors". This ship has the capability to fir a new module named "Cyno Disruptor". In case of activation the ship will stop like a cyno ship to 0 m/s. The module should be based on cap and stop if the Cyno Interdictor runs out of cap. This new ship should also not immun against E-War like ECM, web and warp disruptor/scrambler.

I'm pretty sure the most nullsec citizens will hate my idea but its new possibility to change a devolution of a fight.

So long as the effects are system-wide, like the anchorable cyno jammers. +1

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.

Cyno Jammers not applicable in lowsec

Edit: Do work a Cyno Jammer in NPC null?

It should also automatically appear on the overview, like a cyno.

Why would you need one?

There is no infrastructure to defend whatsoever, and any group capable of hotdropping into a fight is more than capable of just blapping the jammer ship the moment it goes up. They only need their cyno to be clear for a couple seconds, which is why hotdropping works. A cynojammer ship would rely on staying up for long periods to be of any use - something that just plain wouldn't happen.

Now if only there were a 'posted in the wrong forum' jammer module, that would be awesome :)

on that scale cynos shouldn't even matter. you can just outmaneuver any capital fleet or large fleet easily.

you have literally nothing to defend, so letting them run around a system for a few hours doesn't hurt you one bit.
