To all the whiners that have or are considering posting a rant or some game idea to make the game work better for you: Don't bother.

You're doing exactly what the goons & gankers want to see.... tears. Every new topic about this stuff is fueling them to continue.

Additionally, CCP is probably having a good old laugh with them because the game is functioning exactly as it should.

CONCORD work similar to IRL Police. If you're being ganked in-game or in real life... it takes time for police to get there. And in most cases of murder, you'd be dead before police get there. Police don't insta-spawn and neither should CONCORD.

So what do you do if under threat? Self defense. Sure, it may be a broom vs. gun fight... but it's better than having nothing. You could whack him with the broom before you die ;)

So anyway,

Want to un-sub because you can't handle defending yourself?
Go straight to your account settings and un-sub. Don't tell anyone and don't post about it.

Want to rage like mad?
Open Notepad, type your rage out.... then delete it. At least you got it all out of your head.

Have a game idea?
Tell CCP directly. The forums will almost never 100% agree with your idea.

Want to make Gankers not have so much fun?
Fit your ship better and when you do get killed, don't give them the pleasure of having your tears. Instead do the opposite, say thank-you for giving you an adrenaline rush. (After all it's probably the first you've had all day). Watch your local system, dscan, join miner channels and watch the killboards.

Can't stand the thought of hulkageddon going forever?
Don't worry, it won't go forever. When the fun wears off there will be less hulk popping.

Think the game has gone to poo?
This is not the first large event and it won't be the last. You need to get used to a player driven game.

If more players post about it, CCP will notice there's a issue. This advice to stop posting about it is exactly what gankers want, to hide the issue from CCP. 'Out of sight, out of mind.' Also I highly doubt CCP is laughing about it. Especially if it continues causing more players to unsub and or lowers the amount of active players in-game.

Players affected by it need to keep their post short and simple, no rage and no details. Something like "Game is not fun anymore. Subscription canceled. Eve Online has turned into Gank Online." When other players post to the thread, don't reply to it at all. It will definitely get spammed by pro-gank players and anti-gank players. That will make it noticeable to CCP when they do the daily 'Lock Down'.

Just remember, a squeaky joint get's greased. When seeing another player post a thread about the same issue, give a 'Like' to the OP and post a short reply in support, then move on.

Concord does not act like real life Police. Real life Law Enforcement Agencies do 'Protective Custody', 'Stake Outs', 'Check Points', 'Manhunts', etc. If someone goes on a 'Murder Spree', the first couple of attacks may be successful, but then an 'All Points Bulletin' is issued provoking a lot more action by Law Enforcement Agencies. That makes the criminal's actions and movements vastly hampered resulting in said criminal being captured or killed.

The advice to Industrialists to fight back is also incorrect and foolhardy due to lack of skills as well as facing overwhelming odds. Everyone knows you don't bring a knife, or as was stated, a broom to a gun fight. I would say go find a quiet system with no / very low population count and be ready to dock up whenever someone enters the system but that would require moving the ship which could very well be ganked en-route.

The best advice at this time is to not do any mining at all.

More incorrect advice.

As I stated earlier, definitely post about it, but do it with a cool head. Make the post short and to the point, don't rage or vent anger on it, after posting it do not reply to it or even look at it again.

Don't use the 'Notepad' to vent your anger, file a report with 'Customer Service' and let them know exactly what you think. That's their job and if enough players do it, CCP will definitely investigate the issue.

This sub-forum (Eve General Discussion) is the Septic Tank of the Eve Online Forums. It is commonly referred to as 'Troll City' and rightly so. If players want to post a game idea, it should be posted in the sub-forum 'Features & Ideas Discussion'.

The only way to make the gankers not have any fun is to deny them viable targets. Like I stated before, don't do any mining.

If by chance a player decides to do mining and the ship is ganked, don't acknowledge the gankers at all. No rage or 'GF' (Good Fight) in local chat since it wasn't a fight to begin with. Just dock up asap and if raging, log off. If the gank fails, dock up and still don't acknowledge the ganker. Main thing to do is set personal standings red (Terrible) to the ganker and his corp. Later whenever they are seen in local, inform local chat of their presence by linking their name and typing "Suicide Ganker in system".

In the past, the Hulkageddon gank contest has always been short term and the duration wasn't long enough to garner much attention by CCP. That contest basically being ignored by CCP has incited gankers to now do it continuously which should attract a lot more attention to the issue of unbalanced game mechanics.

Gankers may call this a player made event but what it's actually turning into is a long term griefing and harassment exploit.

Yeah.

As Suicide Ganking becomes more prevalent in High Security, all it will do is force more players to leave this game resulting in CCP swinging the Nerf Bat again.
