So people are ganking miners because

Because they're sick of their whining?

Erm.... No I think it should be "Being KB fodder will kill you" people will gank a shuttle full of skill books they've already learned and sell for 90% less than their value if they can catch it. Why? It makes their KB's look better in their mind. (KBs no one looks at but them btw.)

Indeed, mission running is fun. Although, I wonder if you run anymore Daredevils in those level 4s since their nerf? Still I know what you mean. We ran some level 4s in a bunch of destroyers with logi backup. That was a lot of fun.

Sadly since I trained the Tengu, I've not used half the ships I owned to the point that I sometimes wish I'd never trained for it. I gave the Daredevil away before the nerf and haven't bought one since so I'm not even sure what changed. I tried a couple of missions in a blaster Harpy after the hybrid buffs though which was quite funny, but wasn't as much fun as the Daredevil with it's ridiculous DPS. Destroyers and logi sounds really interesting though - now I wish I'd tried that, especially with the destroyer and hybrid buff. Big smile

The destroyer thing was before the buff, but it was a lot of fun. It was a lot different having to rely on someone else to do the healing.

Actually, I'm training for a Tengu now. I've got about 20 days until I'd feel comfortable flying one.

If you are looking for advice for tengu fits hit me up in game, I have a lot of experience with solid tengu tanks.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

I like all these posts where everyone in the sandbox is doing it wrong but them. Semi-afk mining is no different than semi-afk mission running, or semi-afk market pvp, or semi-afk incursions, or semi-afk sleeper sites, etc. The gameplay in eve is not immersive. It's pretty much horrible. If people couldn't pay for their game time with plex earned by playing the game, I think a lot of people would find something else to do. Most other free to play games restrict your play, this one is pretty much free to play after a month or two, but doesn't restrict you.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I don't agree with virtual bullying but I also wonder how a virtual zombie is any different???

Goons are a pain in the ass, I get that, but zombie players are like walls planted in space, unmotivated to even speak, at least now they are active, even if it is only on the forums.

Well there is a difference. Zombie players aren't out to gank you. They are just doing their business. They don't impact your game at all. I don't like botters though. That's a different story.

If you are organizing a mining fleet, there's a lot of coordination to do. If you are mining by yourself, not so much.

well not directly no, you're right about that. The zombies bite in a different way. They KILL the market by inflating it with minerals day in and day out 24/7 like a mineral machine. So that does affect me indirectly.

I can't make ISK as fast as a botter, think of it this way, you mine 100 units but I can only make 10 isk because I dont play 24/7

see the issue? minerals begin to pile up while I work on generating ISK so you can trade the minerals for it, but I can't keep up.
Soon the minerals are flooding the market while the ISK is not being generated fast enough to purchase the minerals mined.

see? you do count, even when you're afk.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

The difference being that the more the market is flooded with minerals, the lower the price creeps to the point that it ends up not being worth the time, and people stop mining and go do other things. Mission ISK is actually more harmful to the economy since it is an injection rather than a redistribution, and there are very few ISK sinks in the game to remove the excess from circulation.

Well that is the main cause of the current inflation, it was a perfect storm of three features the way I see it.

#1. Agents changed, it suddenly became a lot easier to get those quality agents and exactly the missions you wanted in highsec.
#2 Wormholes, an ISK machine
#3 Incursions. Even more ISK

I'm sure I'm probably missing other things that generate ISK out of thin air.
