I've been around long enough to withness the rise and fall of many alliances and corporations under my time in EvE.
I've seen stuff few will remember they saw long time ago, i've done almost everything you can do in this game and under all these years it still amaze me to the point thinking that what will come next from CCP.
I think CCP have done an amazing work with this game, and i think many can aggree on that.

It have been ups and downs on several things in EvE under my time since 2004, awesome things like new ships, planetary interactions, POS's and many many more things.
Some things here and there have changed, most to the better but also to the worse.

And one worse thing is for miners as myself it have become almost impossible to play this game, due to some well knowned reason we all know right now...

"Goons going to keep paying out isk to players who kill mining ships.... even if Hulkageddon is over."

Not hard to understand who "rule" this game... but i know this is a sandbox game, if someone do something it can effect others, simple as that... live with it, adapt and move on ...

For any reason this game have become more of a station game / skill queue game for miners... in my case anyway.
Cause if i leave station and start mining i could lose my ship knowing that the offender who killed my ship got payed isk to do it... and in my point of view that is the end of highsec mining for me... to know the effort of bringing yet another Hulk into a asteroid belt and be blowned up again is waste of time for me.
I know i can do other stuff then just mining but it was mining asteroid belts which got me hooked all those years ago... and still is.

...and with all these years behind me... and all these memories... and all friends i've ever come across... i can only say...

... FAREWELL TO ALL FELLOW MINING PAYERS IN EVE... AND CCP... FOREVER.

You should probably biomass your character, kinda gives the statement more weight.

Gallente born and raised, and tutored as a pleasure slave and courtesan to the exotic tastes of the Amarri court. Jade's career veered violently off course when a diplomatic envoy's transport was blown to pieces in mysterious circumstances and she was rescued from the escape pods by the enigmatic genetic mastermind Athule Snanm.

Moe: Wha? I'm sorry, Homer I couldn't hear you
Homer: I said you just lost yourself a customer!
Moe: Huh?
Homer: You just lost yourself a customer!
Moe: Homer you're going to have to speak up!
Homer: You just lost yourself a customer, Moe!
Moe: I've forced myself to wha?
Homer: You just lost yourself a customer!
Moe: Homer.. I'll talk to you tomorrow!
Homer: You just lost yourself a customer!
Moe: Yeah you can use it!

"Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. If you cant have a grown up conversation then leave the thread["

I never understood the reasoning behind the "farewell" post, if a game isn't fun, just quit playing it. Say bye to your friends via email or something.

Before you go please read

HIGH SECURITY MINER SURVIVAL GUIDE
The Goonswarm Federation announced 2012.5.29 that Hulkaggeddom would be a permanent threat, and that they would pay ANY pilot in Eve 100mil for killing 10 exhumers. The compiler of this information is Little Brat, who stands ready to advise and coordinate with hisec players who wish to give gankers a run for their money and defend their part of the sandbox.
.Based on the now permanent threat, there are THINGS YOU CAN DO IMMEDIATELY.
.Your Hulk and Mackinaw have a 7.5% buff to shield resists use it! It won’t actually help much. The longer you can delay your destruction is always a good thing.
.Stop mining in a Hulk or Mackinaw. When you lose either of them, do not replace them. When you buy or build a Hulk or Mackinaw and their mods, you make it profitable to the very alliances and federations that support your destruction!
.Mine asteroids in a Coveter or Retriever using T1 mods. Mine ice in a Procurer or Retriever also with T1 mods.
.No ORE ship is safer than another; it is the cost of replacement that matters. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SHIP at some point just expect it and move on. The gankers want you to ***** and moan and cry about it, they live for the “tears” as well as the 100mil bounties. They may have a cloaked spotter…they may use probes…they will squad warp to targets…they will have weapons grouped, overloaded, and hot keyed. They may have a nearby Orca that will jettison ships for their pods. They will attack you in Thrashers, Catalysts and even a Brutix and strive for DPS of 600 to 700. They may use drones, they may warp scramble you and if you are just starting to align…it is too late…you have been caught with your pants down.
.Have an alt shoot at you in a noob ship to attract CONCORD to your belt where they will hang around for a bit. Your alt will take a security hit and lose his ship…but that is what alts are for. In this case the gankers will try to ‘draw off’ CONCORD by creating a diversion elsewhere if they are intent on your destruction.
.Mine in a battleship. The Dom is best imo.
.Keep watch on the directional scanner (dscan) for threatening ships (as mentioned above) and align when in doubt.
.Know your enemy. Watch the videos on youtube that teaches players how to gank. Specifically: Eve Online: A gentleman’s Guide to Ganking Exhumers
.Read the General Discussion forums at least every other day. There is often good intelligence posted there. When you do, post the letter ‘X’ in reply to each forum post you read. The GoonWaffe, Goonswarm Federation, TEST and others dominate the forums and claim hisec players do not read them. Show them we do and refrain from being tempted to speak your mind.
Forum posts beyond the original poster (OP) usually devolve into grammar and punctuation trolls as well as insults towards carebears, nullbears and always the varying opinions of the ‘sandbox’. One I liked was when someone said “If there is sh*t in the sandbox, you throw it out and get new sand” lol. Occasionally, you will find a gem in the rough that makes the forums not completely useless. It is data mining lol! This guide was in fact written from information collected on the forums.
.If you are in a 1 man or low member corp or an npc corp, you can kiss your ass good bye...you are a prime target.
.Mine in a corp op with proper protection.
.Set up hot keys and safes, know about overloading.
.Be situationally aware. There are some corps you should set your contacts to red. They are: Bondage Goat Zombies; Dead Terrorists; Dreddit; GoonSwarm; Goonswarm Federation; Test Alliance Please Ignore; and The Three Six Mafia. There are others, please let me know. There may be individuals that need to be set red, if so share that info with me please.
.Understand that CCP will not interfere as they consider this a legitimate style of play. If a play style or process doesn’t break the TOS or EULA, then it is fair game.
THINGS TO DO IN THE SHORT TERM.
.A quote from the forums (that you should be reading!).
“…killing hulkageddon would be farcically easy between creating an information resource for hisec miners detailing fits, preparation, tactics, etc; an updated watchlist of known gankers with km proof; and moderated regional intel channels…”
.I intend to do these things, join me.
HIGH SECURITY MISSION RUNNER SURVIVAL GUIDE
.Watch the youtube video “Eve Online: How to Kill a Hisec Mission Runner”.
.The point of mission running gankers is to get you to aggress. They do that by stealing your loot starting the aggression timer. As the aggression timer winds down, they will reset it by stealing the loot from another wreck. If you dock they will dock with you to see when you undock while they continue to extend the aggression timer. They salivate over the hope you will confront them. They will spend hours trying to bait you into a fight and friends who you never saw will pop in and kill you in minutes if not seconds. They will know how many players in your corp are nearby. If you are in a 1 man or low member corp or an npc corp, you become a prime target. They will know what resists you have according to the mission; they will attack your weakest resist. You can end all of this with one simple act. ALWAYS in every mission without fail Abandon All Nearby Wrecks as soon as possible. You can still loot and salvage abandoned wrecks yourself; the gankers are not interested in loot…end of problem.
.In conclusion, when all else fails and your enjoyment of Eve diminishes to the point that you can no longer justify paying to play, unsub. CCP understands this very well.

Our corporate symbol is a blue Egyptian Ankh representing pure eternal life, surrounded by 8 gold stars representing The Eightfold Path on a red background representing sacrifice and committment to the everliving, beloved of Ptah...

The reason is to make a big stink on the forums and then continue playing. Which is why I asked the OP to biomass his character, at least that way it's clear he won't play it again.

If you have truly seen it all, then you know alliances don't last. Bob was the great evil, where ate they now? Pl was death to all, now what? The great Russian coalition ruled eve, bringing in mafias selling isk to laundered money in Russia.

Goons are just another alliance, like all they will rise and fall. If you have played this long, you would know that. So get over it or don't let the door hit you on the way out.

What about joining HMining INTEL channel? We're making a list of suicide gankers and stuff. The plan is to build it like a standard 0.0 alliance intel channel, but instead of neuts and reds Hisec gankers and the like.

Oh, yes, this is my daily ninja advert!

Have you never heard of a Covetor, or a dead-end system with a dozen belts?

One will earn its replacement in no time, and the other gives you plenty of time to spot a Cat or Thrasher before they even know what belt you are in.

Farewell. I dont mine, but i assume that those who do will enjoy the slightly reduced supply caused by your leaving.

And to think - safe mining is less than a 7 days worth of skill training.
doesnt hurt to train up for a rokh.

What, the "I enjoyed the game but I'm not dumb enough to pay for something I don't enjoy anymore" attitude?

Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem. Roll
