I understand if you had bombs in high sec Jita undock would be getting bombed all day every day but what is the reason bombers can't deploy bombs in low sec?

I have to admit, I'm also curious as to the 'official' reasoning.

Because CCP said so.

More than likely because you would hit gates/guns/stations and every other object unintentionally? Or possibly because you might kill pods accidentally? Either way the aggro/sec status mechanics would cause bomber tears I think.

Either way bombing is a bit of an anti blobbing mechanic and suits null-sec better than anywhere amirite?

<<< Bomber. No tears from sec status anything. If I don't want an issue I won't bomb.

So far, not convinced. Having accidentally "smart" bombed a gate which any ship can do in any space I don't see the AOE issues at all.

Because there have to be functional differences between lowsec and nullsec.

Yeah can't have bubbles. Yeah Sec status. Yeah you can't hold sov. Enough differences. Not any good reason we can't drop bombs in low sec.

Bombers are only truly balanced in bubble land.

Actually bubbles and bombing go hand in hand. Best bombing is when the target is bubbled or else if they are aligned they can get out.

Lowsec is still empire space. Just without Concord. 0.0 is lawless space.

Then the entire bomber detachment gets shredded by fast locking anti support before the bombs go off, thus nutting them. That's a really dumb idea.

Here you go. A fine collection of bombers that warped into hictor bubbles and got shredded just by me. In each one of these instances the bombers were coming in multiple waves and other people with fast locking ships were killing the others. Warp mechanics state that if you enter warp while the bubble is aligned and on grid: you will be pulled into the bubble, or at least the edge of it.

A common 0.0 antibomber tactic is to pile up a lot of anti support ships and sit the entire fleet in a hictor/dictor bubble till it's time to start moving again.

Welcome to school. The bubble is the bombers worst enemy. The best place to bomb is when someone is traveling in route via gate, or if you are really lucky: Directly on a JB, the second doesn't happen as much because most alliances fling with titans. But titans are also a great place to bomb.

It's called have your warp away set as something other than the bubble. Catching a few idiots doesn't change anything. Doesn't matter how many times you go to school if you flunk.
