the title says it all. I'll start it out perhaps it'll make short range bs's a viable fleet fight tactic considering that it could very well nerf the sniper fleets Smile

From what i understand it makes you jump 100 km forward , so if a sniper bs fleet is farther aways than that , it won't make any difference. The spool up time before it activates really makes it less usefull than it could be , i'd rather have it activate instantly then have a cool down time, never mind the fact that only bs's can fit it...

Right now the only use i can see for it is for bs's that could gank sniper ship that fire in the 100 km range (arty cane , munimm ? (i don't fly it so i don't kwow it's range) Other than that , maybe easy safes off station and gates.

i gotta agree with your last item zenos that would also be a good use for it.
on a side note has the microjump drive come out yet?

Pretty shure it hasn't but is due before the winter expansion (probably some inferno 1.5 patch).

It's going to be super useful for BS fleets that want to get out of range of their logi.

Probing made sniper fleets obsolete and you couldn't make a large fleet concept centered around it, because all your recons/logi/commandships/tackle can't make the 100km teleport with the BS.

If it doesn't get a BPO seeded for it and the fact its a midslot, its going to be rare-ish module used only in lolfits.

2 minutes to "jump" 100km? You could do exactly the same thing with an existing module known as the "MWD".

perhaps or maybe let a sniper fleet run from said blaster fleet

what did you expect from ccp, they love to pre nerf new stuff.

They like to take a good idea and nerf it so badly that its not worth using at all.

These jump drives should spin up in a matter of seconds and be offlined after use or have a 2-5 minute cool down etc, it should be a gtfo for BS, its not like a cepter couldnt sprint 100km and use a long point and catch it again anyways right?

Would it work if you are warp disrupted? If it does, then it looks like an easy escape tool. Otherwise, what's the point, lol, get it, lol.
