I am back studying again, and unfortunatly the college has elected to block access to all Eve servers. Did a bit of searching on the forums and turned up this post from GM Xamother:

Changing the port did not work, and so I think the only solution is to tunnel my way via a proxy server or some such. My next problem is that such a solution is several grades above my normal computing abilities.

If there was a robust method to do this with a clear guide to follow, I'd really appreciate if someone could link it for me. With a bit of luck I'll muddle my way through it.

Regards,

DI

You would need your own VPN/Proxy server to tunnel through, you could try using TOR (google it) but i don't know how reliable the speed would be for playing games. You could always ask the IT guys real nice or go to the local coffee shop :P.

Thanks for the reply Terminator56. As regards a VPN, I thought I read recently that CCP is routenly banning accounts that are using VPN, as it is a method ISK sellers often use. I really don't want my accounts banned.

Can't speak for CCP on that, i would submit a petition asking before you do anything. However, the only way you are going to get around port blocks is to VPN or tunnel or traffic to a different location.
