Suggestion: ban those who say they are quitting

Just to cut down on some of the annoying whines, some of which are trolls, perma-ban every character that starts an "I am quitting" thread.

This accomplishes two things.
1) removes trolls.
2) helps those who want to quit to truly quit.

Both of which are positives.Smile

permaban might actually cause damage, something like a 1-3 month ban would probably suffice.

What a healthy a mature response to hearing something you don't like.

Was I insufficiently stupid, or insufficiently polite to people who run around screaming in other peoples face non-stop?

Do you, idiot that you are, imagine that I am somehow responsible for the patch?

Or even the unsubbing? Most people don't even read the forum, twit.

But Goons are scary, and you are a coward.

Glad we cleared that up.

That's right, cause you want to be a screaming howling jack*** but you don't want to pay for it!

Gotta calibrate the screaming vile vermin behavior!

To high and not fun for you!

My view is if someone wants to quit, they should be helped (because we all know EVE is masterfully addictive). And if they want to cry quit, they should be helped just the same.

I tend to be rather extreme though.

Anyway, after a few times I'm sure people woudl find another way to be attention whores. But at least one would be stopped up.

Isn't posting a useless suggestion being an attention whore?

But seriously. stop whining so much about what other people say they will/wont do. If you seriously can't emotionally/psychologically/mentally/spiritually handle what other people say, they get the **** off the forums. please.

CCP would never go for it as banning a player would infringe on their own financial gain; which is something none of us want. Sure, they can cancel their subscription, but they can always return.

Financial gain + CCP = Happy, well-funded Devs.

Happy, well-funded Devs = More ships for us to destroy/destroy with.

Doesn't sound too profitable for CCP!

If CCP really wanted to do this, they would not have to ban anyone, nothing that drastic. As mentioned above banning someone for just speaking their mind in the spur of the moment is not very constructive, as i'm sure that we all have our heated moments.

All CCP need to do is put a filter on a few key words used together, for example "I am quitting" will just be an amalgamation of special characters "£$$% *^^%£$ "and we all assume that he just has an extremely potty mouth, problem solved, everyone is happy.

Also amazingly after a really long constructive rage post on why they want to quit:

"Dear CCP,

I am unhappy with issue X

Because of Y

Has happened for Z long since i started in W

Thank you for making my decision for me to £$£% %!$& for good"

This would at least increase the entertainment value of the plethora of "I'm going to quit eve" threads at least

Because nobody want to know why paying customers leave.

BTW new customer acquisition is 5-6 times more expensive than returning customer unless s/he is very upset and turned into hater.

People should be banned for posting bad suggestions as well.

That would be you, OP.

Supported.

Not a full ban though, just a forum ban.
