Well the way it stands we won't ever get above tier 2, and a huge amount of lps need wasted to get to that, the problem is the upgrade is lost if someone plexs in the system, one person can effectively keep an entire faction on tier 1 and it isn't even hard.

Just do one minor plex in every system that is at level 1 or 2.

Surely they never intended one person to have such an impact. And it can be done in a t1 frigate, which is hard to catch if the person avoids pvp.

And the people who care about the lp store are the ones that can't afford the hundreds of thousands of lps needed to even keep at tier 2.

It needs to be harder to lose the points once gained. The made it harder to lose system but havent though enough about the upgrades, which have a much higher impact on the tier.

Past Lv 5 you can still put in LPs for a LP buffer to losing the upgrades.

Lvl 5 is 150k lps, and then the buffer x 61 systems / not that many people that care and can afford to do it = no chance

Have you even run around FW space and seen how many Lvl 5 upgraded systems there are? I'm in FW myself and I'm astonished. There are a ton of people who care, apparently.

150k LP is a couple hours of missioning. It's not that much.

Also note almost all systems are contested so you cant just do the border

Systems upgrades are crap, but LP discount is nice, so nothing here is broken IMHO.

What's broken is that there is absolutely no penaly for abandoning a plex. Plexes are envisioned for people who are assumed, by CCP, to want to PVP. If you dont want to PVP, and just want to farm LP, you can simply warp out... No penalty... That's too bad since it encourages the AFK, bounce-between-plexes to avoid PVP farmers...

I also don't mission much because it's boring as hell and I'd rather go lose a frigate.
