I am requesting, nay demanding, an additional section of the forums. A section where we as players, members of the EVE community can post direct, well worded questions or statements with an expectation of a developers or member of ccp can respond to us.

Sometimes there is a game mechanic, concept, game play, item, role that i wish i could post, and get an official response
allow me to present an example

Dear Devs,
Are drones expected to be a primary weapon system for certain ships (all carriers, domi, vexor, ishtar, myrm) or are the expected to be complimentary.

To sum it up.
Just give me one more section labeled, "ask a dev." A place to post reasonable questions with a basic expectation of response.

This is litterally what the CSM is for.

Send a well thought out message to one of the CSM members and he will pass it to the devs if it's not full of garbage. Just think of the amount of crap that gets posted on these forums every day - what would stop those garbage posts from being directed to CCP and then they would just ignore them.

Let's take this on basic feasibility. With over 400,000 capsuleers all having "well worded questions or statements" how quickly do you expect a reply?

There aren't 400,000 capsuleers? No, there are. And you can bet the last ISK stuck to your pod they will all believe their questions are reasonable, well worded and deserving of a direct response.

So how do you propose filtering this? We have a Council acting as our conduit in New Eden for a reason. Use them.

Well, considering this forum's large population of trolls and whiners, I don't think this would be a good idea unless a person was somehow certified to post in that forum, or if it was heavily moderated.

Even then, a certification system could always let a troll through, and moderation is never as stringent as it needs to be.

Mine and 10,000 other peoples CSM member was kicked. Now that you're all sufficiently pissed off again. Where's your new CSM chair now? Was it everything you thought it'd be?

Serves him right for trying for some divine prophecy crap. Goon's could have easilly had 2 or 3 people on the CSM if they gamed their support correctly.

I'm pretty content with the CSM as it stands. The UI is a step in the right direction, even if it's not what it needs to be. As for the rest of what you said, v0v.

The only true 'direct line' to CCP is via your wallet, but expect a delay of 1-4 months for them to notice.

Unfortunately, the trolling in such a section would be terrible, as it is here (GD). The CCP folks would spend more time moderating that actually answering questions.

As to answer your proposed question: yes. Ff a ship gets a bonus to drones, then drones are their primary weapon system.

DEMANDING a section, what are you? 13 and a moron?

Take your concerns to a sub forums, like ships and modules that have confirmed dev readers and replies. They don't have to respond, but if they do they choose if and when.

Why do you think it takes over a week to answer a petition. Because every special little snowflake can think of the most inane question to ask and they bog down the system whereas there simply aren't enough gm's or dev's to wade through that sea, nor will there ever be. The forums are no different and their purpose is exactly what you ask of now.

No sir or ma'am, I prefer the current system where the dev's sit at their desk and do their job of improving the game while occasionally stopping by to gather feedback from us and maybe rip on a user or 2. To have them sitting around all day to answer our every little beckon is a massively horrible waste of resources and would be inefficient beyond belief. You don't hire someone with a bachelors in game design to work the help desk.

I correspond with CSM's in private mail, you can do the same.
