Ships & Modules

Thought I'd share some pictures of the newly skinned manufacturer ship designs already in the client files.
Some of the results may look a little strange as I'm rendering these ships for a project which uses a celshader, and as such there are no reflections, normal maps or gloss effects. The textures and base colours are from the client files and any mistakes are my own.

Btw, you labeled the Caldari Hookbill as the "Firetail" which is the name of the Gallente navy Minmatar frigate.

Isn't the 'Kaalakiota'-liveried Scorpion already in-game, as the Widow?

Yup, Kaalakiota manufacture T2 ships, but there are both T1 and T2 variants in the client files although atm they both have the same colours, not sure if that is to conform with some legacy coding or something - but looks interesting :P (Infact all of the manufacturers have T2 versions)

Kaalakiota has a simple yet sexy paint job.
I need my naga done up in that.
Also the Navy Myrmidon.

Now is there a roden version of the nemesis?

On a side note, I kinda like the cel shaded thing. it makes it look like a render for an advertising pamphlet or something.

They originally wanted to put a few different scorpions in the NeX store, but the problem was that each of them was an actual ship separate from the regular scorpion with its own paint job rather than something that can be applied to the ship to recolor it.

That would have allowed someone to buy a scorpion from the nex store (ie. with real money rather than ISK) which wanders into pay to win territory. Apparently the system at the time wasn't able to take a scorpion as payment as well like the LP stores do.
