Is this new? I just noticed you can close the tree mode.

So if they add shortcut buttons for ships/whatever window I want, tand the tree can be closed. Wouldn't that make it 100% the same as the old Item window UI?

Maybe have a toggle for shift click?

Yeah this needed it's own thread, I can't figure out if this little tree UI toggle is new or if it's been there from day 1.

edit:oh I get it. if you use CQ you can still get a button for ships hanger. But only in CQ.

...

If you mean the << button, that was there since Inferno rolled out on TQ.

cool, didn't notice it. Seems to me like closing it should toggle what shift does. that would... make it optional wouldn't it? without any extra code to prop up? I like the new items window, but I really don't see why it can't be hidden easily if it can already be minimized

It's been there since it was rolled out. And while it does a fair simulation of the old style cargo, as soon as you open cargo for anything else it opens there in your new tiny window that you now have to move and resize to fit the task you want. Or, if you're able to open a separate window, that tiny window will not be persistent. You will get errors if you swap a ship. If you use separate UI windows upon your next gate/wh jump you will get a new UI window that pops up for your ship's cargo at the last position and size of the previous window not your ship's cargo that you resized and placed as a tiny window.

Don't ban me, bro!

Yup, and all of that really needs to be fixed. Then everyone will be happy!

becuase the windows moving around thing... we got a fix for that back in 2008, and now it's back? I'm going to trust CCP is listening to the feedback... but if you don't figure it out within a month, as in have a gameplan out on the table. I will really start to worry they are going to forget it like they do to new features from time to time.

Why would you? They didn't listen to the feedback on the UI from SiSi over a month ago.
