3 year old PC here, running 2 clients with everything maxed out with no problems. Didn't cost 3k either.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

So, anyone who disagrees with you is a fanboi?

how do you get on in the real world, may I ask?

Either way, thank you for trying to speak for me. However, I must say, I have the opposite viewpoint to you. I like the launcher. I like the new UI. I like the missiles.

Local bug...will be fixed. It's a drain on server resources so probably high priority

Ganking. AFAIK It's been a part of EVE since release...the players who don't like it should HTFU or leave.

The interesting thing is that the OP never actually stated a argument on why these things are bad. Other then the fact that EVERYONE(he) didn't want them. Or that hes doesn't have a computer capable of running certain things(or hasn't figured out settings).

You are not forced to do anything, dear. You don't even have to play this game, or give money to a software company you hate so much.

I'm running 2x 1920x1200 clients with everything turned on high, and I certainly haven't noticed any hit from missiles turrets or trails.

this is also not a super duper pc, it's well over 3 years old at this point.

basically, either HTFU and use something better than the atari you pulled out of the basement pile or quit, the game does not need to stay stagnant with you.

Because you're playing a multiplayer MMO with open PvP, and if you are unwilling to adjust to your circumstances then you should probably be playing something else. I recommend Minecraft on singleplayer, peaceful difficulty setting.

Lol I spent 600 bucks on my pc and I can run this game, and any other game maxed out. If you spend 3k on a pc you are an idiot, or you have so much money that you don't care, or you simply don't know anybetter.

What did I get for 600 bucks? I got a GTX580, an amd 4 core cpu clocked at 3.8, and 8 gigs of ram. While this was a very good deal, I'm sure there are many, many people who haven't spent 3k on their pc, and can run this game maxed out.

Word of advice. NEVER use phrases such as no one, everyone, and all when trying to prove a point. Since there is ALWAYS at least 1 person who will prove you wrong.

Indeed. And let me be that one. I want to first address a few of your points.

*super launcher* which again NO ONE WANTED

I like the launcher. I get uptime and patch status, as well as the latest updates about the game without logging in.

Also, you know you can disable this right? If you go into the options, you can turn it off, so when you start EVE it goes straight into the client.

The New Inventory - No one likes it, the few who do, ccp fanbois - No one wants it, but u refuse to remove it

I like it, I think it's far superior to what we had before. I have a trader alt, and all the crap I pick up from mission running, PVP, salvaging gets shipped to that alt. I just don't sell everything on Jita, I actually have to sort through it to figure out what I can reprocess, what I need for invention, what other alts in my little corp need, what I can sell, etc. The filtering system in this new UI is absolutely amazing for this. That's the main benefit, but there are many others.

Yes, it's different, and different means you have to learn something new. But if you play EVE, you've already proven you know how to deal with a steep learning curve, and this is much, much easier.

Missile Effects - Again, CCP, please remember, not all of us have 3k to spend on pcs

This is total crap. I have a 4 year old PC that you can probably buy for a few hundred bucks, and I can run TWO clients without any difficultly. Turn down a few of the GPU-hungry effects (Anti-Aliasing and Shadows), and you can get 90% of the eye-candy EVE has to offer on low end machines.

Local Bug - This goes to local/alliance/corp/public chats/friends chats - still havent fixed it, gj

No idea what you're talking about here. I'll assume it is a real problem. And if it is, give CCP a bit of time to fix it. I'm a software developer too, and as much as I'd like to fix all of my client's issues within hours of them being reported, sometimes investigating and fixing a bug can take days, and then the fix needs to be tested to make sure nothing else is introduced.

Sumtimes i wish i had the money to buy you out. So i could fire most fo your incompetent idiots and hire real devs who knew what they where doing instead of loosing track everytime a pair of **** walks past

Here's an idea. If you're so smart and so amazing, why don't you create your own single-shard multi-player space simulator? Tell you what, I'll sign up for 1 year's subscription at going rates (15 bucks a month) if you come up with a single-system, multiplayer space simulator where all I can do is take a ship, mine asteroids, and sell those asteroids to other players. No gates, no combat, nothing. Just mining and selling ore with a bunch of friends.

Fanbois are everywere :P

Enough of the fanboi crap. It's the argument of weak posters who spout nonsense on the forums and have no facts or arguments to defend their ridiculous posts about how "everyone hates feature X". If you want to criticize something or post your opinion, fine. But at least have the courage to stand behind those opinions, rather than insult people who disagree with you.

Now going back abit

Captains Quarters, walking in stations - NO ONE WANTED IT. But still u implemented it, i remeber the day we installed the patch, a 200 page long long *i turned it off* thread.

You use the CSM - fat lot of good that is, ego players who get what they want done for there alliance and ignore everyone else.

Now moving backup to date - the amount of anit gank threads is astounding across three sections of these forums. What do u do, most of the empire player base is screaming for a removal of sucicde ganking - what do u do, why ignore them ofc.

So when does this nicely scripted and make no mistake, scripted apology from hilmar come into effect?

Poorly worded and delusions of grandeur, thinking you speak for anyone but yourself. Here are some honest tips for you.

First up, these forums have a built in spell check, learn to use it.

Second, learn how to formulate a coherent argument.

Third, never ever assume that you speak for anyone beside yourself.

You come across as an egotistical, lazy troll whose arguments hold no water and contain little to nothing of any value to anyone. People who disagree with you are not fanboi's, they just disagree with you, and rightly so considering the pathetic quality of your post.

TL;DR Learn to make a constructive post, rather than vomiting **** all over the forums and people might take you seriously.

Bought my computer for 280 USD off eBay 4 1/2 years ago. Loaded EVE for the first time when I got it home. Other than a graphics card upgrade (2 months ago) it's working fine on maximum settings. Thanks.

What OP wants to see is....

"Hey CCP, stop what you are doing and listen to Jessica Sweetwater because she speaks on behalf of ALL of EVEdom in all matters."

um....no. Troll begone.

And why should people who do want their security status messed up and live the life of a pirate be forced to play YOUR way?

See, this is the problem with complainers. They're unable to see past their own little world.

CCP has made it very, very clear that you're not safe in EVE. They repeat it multiple times during the tutorial (make sure you update your clones because you WILL get podded, make sure you insure your ship because you WILL lose it. In fact, here's what it feels like to lose your ship because it WILL happen, and here's what you do WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN).

Since CCP has made it clear that you can and will get podded anywhere, including high-sec space, why are you complaining about getting ganked? Why do you even play EVE for that matter?

Despite the taunting you get from other EVE players, there's nothing wrong with not wanting to participate in PVP, and wanting to play a game that guarantees you won't get attacked without your consent.

But if that's your style of play, EVE is not the game for you. Players who enjoy that type of game are the minority, for sure. But we are allowed to play that way, and that's why we choose EVE. You can either join us or play something else.

But stop calling us fanboi because we like something different.

Qft Jafit!

Jessica,

Not saying your character has to do it.

Hire someone else to do it for you...

Or if you multibox, have an alt that can do it.

Concept is simple, build your own ganking ships, if a ship used for ganking enters grid, kill it, don't wait gank it...immediately.

Although your arguement just proved my point. There is a downside to ganking, and you aren't willing to pay the cost.

If you're talking about the game launcher, I quite like not having to load the client just to close it and patch. Launchers are awesome for any game.

It has some bugs and lost some usability features, but I think once CCP does a little patching it'll be fine. It's a step in the right direction, inventory manage management is a PITA and needed to be addressed.

My PC was worth less than $1,500 when I built it...four years ago. I run three clients simultaneously on it and it has no trouble showing me the pretty missiles.

People crying because CCP's intended game mechanics don't favor them SHOULD NOT get what they want. Suicide ganking is a part of Eve's game world. There are ways to avoid it, the problem is that carebears don't want to make the compromises necessary to guarantee their security. Instead they whine to CCP to make the game suit them better.
