So i'm perusing the new merc stuff, and I have a few questions,

1. When "Offering assistance" there is this area that says ISK Offering... Now this seems to me to seriously need rewording by CCP, as this implies YOU the merc corp are offering ISk to have them accept your help....

So WTF? How does this work and what does this exactly mean?

2. After your help has been accepted, does the isk get transferred from their corp wallet to yours? Or do they have to send it to you manually? Because if its manually they may simply refuse and you can't get out of the dec and can't shoot your ally.......

Thanks in advance for the replies :D

1. Okay. One second while I code that up, as I, the average forumgoer seeing your self-bumped post, am clearly a CCP developer.

2. Presumably automatically transferred, as with any of the other pre-arranged contracts in Eve.

it means that you're willing to offer your help for x amount of ISK

and it's transferred automatically so they shouldn't be cheating on you, that would be terrible!

People can't scam alliances out of their "protection money"? Pity, it would have been funny.

Apparrently the mercs can scam the people seeking help though, so that should bring some nice lulz

Does the "I'll become an ally for X ISK" field allow negative numbers? If not, it should.

There are many out there who are willing to PAY the defender to become an ally in a particular wardec and the system should allow for that (being a sandbox and all).

How come we didn't get a merc marketplace, or where is it? The Inferno features page says we can pick and choose who to deliver our revenge. It states "The Mercenary Marketplace matches desire with ability, and reputation with wealth and fame." I do not get it is that just a marketing ploy?

I know scamming is allowed in game but...

I recall one night in a nightclub called the matrix, there I was... Mother of god there I am! Holy f**k.

Matching desire with ability, eh

Sounds like more than just shooting is involved.

We here at "Pandem1c_Leg1on" would be happy to help with your wardec. Just send us 50 mil (actual amount quoted 50 bil) and we'll deal with these ruffians post-haste! Please pay no heed to the fact that our corp appears to only have two members, its a bug related to the new patch.

We wanted to make it a both way negotiation but didn't have enough time for this release to implement it. It's something that would be really cool to do later but I can't promise anything. Same with a proper implementation of a mercenary market place.

We figured people would just talk together and decide on those things. We don't want to get rid of all the communication in game and make it just a click-buttons-thing Big smile

You would then just make the offer 0 ISK and then transfer money manually.

How does the ally system work in relation to forming fleets?

Is there a new setting that can open fleets to allys?

Considering the fact CCP barely has the Ally system working in time for Inferno, I doubt there has been any progress on this part. Some updates to the overview for allies would be nice as well.
