Launcher issues following today's downtime

sigh....got to reinstall the client as the errors are ridiculous....guess its another night of TV and endless repeats....

i am surprised that CCP was willing to fix it so quickly!!! honestly if it was anything else i would expect a 5 year delay in fixing it.

Since Escalation, launcher never succeeded in an update, had to update via repair tool each time. Final launcher update to Escalation seemed to finally fix this and that update ran through launcher successfully.

Update to Inferno failed in launcher, but repair tool successfully repaired client and was able to play fine last night.

Update today also failed in launcher, repair tool "states" a successful repair, but starting the launcher still attempts to load an update which fails. Repair tool (updated today also) shows 100% on all files.

Dead in water, can't launch game.

Well Now my laucnher hangs tryign to validate the game> This new laucnehr is a really crappy software piece. Cannto udnerstand how a software can find itself corrupted so oftern . i am a software engineer that works on medical imagin systems and if our software was so volatile and self damagign hudnreds of peopel would die every day.

There is no excuse for a peice of software that every tiem some update happens force me to do a full game reinstall.

Have you/poster below you tried launching the client directly yet? When the client needs to patch but the launcher isn't working, it will download a new launcher, and patch from there. Also try updating the launcher with it's updater. I had a problem yesterday, and repairing followed by a launcher update made the launcher work like it does for everyone else most of the time.

Thanks, resorted to complete client re-install though last night and its working, even made it through the update this morning without having to resort to the repair tool.

Thanks for the input though, i'll note that for future occurrences.
