Yay new inventory! The "extra clicks" i have to do with the new system is easily miniscule to the clicks I'd have to do hunting down the x buttons to close the 20,000 little windows that pop up all over everywhere!

On the old system there were not that many unless YOU opened them. Now they are a list a mile long that you would hate.

Therefore you lie.

I maintain a fairly neat, orderly and tidy inventory. I routinely sell off junk I haven't used for some time. In addition, I make use of the nifty filtering function to cut it down even more. It seems like people just dont want to change their habits to make full use of the new system. Trying to use the new system as if it were the old system will just lead to frustration.

Learn.
Adapt.

Isn't this the mantra of Eve?

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Just give me the freaking option to have a separate and permanent item and ship hanger window in station and the rest is tolerable......

Loosing the station item and ship window is so irritating... you have to open it again every time. And if people here don't feel this is a pain in the butt, then they don't live in null-sec.

I agree with OP. The new inventory system is a huge improvement, despite what a few highly vocal whiners might say. Its simple, compact, and I love the filters. Its annoying getting used to it as old habits break hard, but all around its an improvement.

Filters are nice. Constantly shifting focus? Not so much.

To make this a one-for-one replacement, you'd need to adjust it so that the focus remains fixed on the same container *type* rather than insisting on returning to your main cargo. I don't object to the unitary screen, though I do find it irritating; I'm *used* to running many windowed apps simultaneously in my professional life (I'm doing that right now, in fact!), so the various windows from before are quite natural to me.

If, however, I could rely on the focus staying where I put it (cannisters only, thankyouverymuch!), I'd find this to be merely a step sideways. A pointless and uneccessary step, but no big deal. However, this constant insistance on focusing on my cargo is a bit much. To put the issue in terms of my professional life: If I'm running 9 windowed apps (which I am), and one keeps stealing focus from the window in which I'm working, I'd be on the line to the IS Devs and be serving them a heaping plate of hot steaming "Fix This!"

So, CCP: "FIX THIS!"

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

i kind of like it now too. once i figured out the ships. seems to move faster. some very helpful stats attached to it (size, approximate isk value, etc).

the only thing that was odd is that you can't drag from the side list into a carrier. have to click on ship hangar to grab them.
