Clients will not launch after new patch. Fixed. (for me)

So I installed the latest patch just now. I then tried to launch another client and launcher errors cropped up, it would not launch. So I closed the main client and now it won't launch anymore either. It tries to update the launcher but it can't because apparently it's missing a bunch of files now.

Go into launcher folder and hit "Apply Patch". Everything works like before now.

I'm getting this too, but i'm not closing my first one, nor am i dumb enough to run an active repair program on another program that i am currently using

same here :( worked fine after the patch for the first start, but after i closed and reopened a client now i get this error on startup, already tried a repair, but without luck.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

i have the same problem here.
but as a workaround, you can use the ExeFile.exe in the \bin folder in your eve folder to start the game.

Same problem. Last part of initial traceback ends with:

File "urllib2.pyc", line 518, in http_error_default
HTTPError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found

+1, getting a wall-of-text warning when client tries to update.
Ran the repair, restarted still no go

edit; confirming running through the bin folder works, game runs - launcher doesn't.

Same issue, running the repair tool does nothing. Won't even get as far as updating the launcher for me. Please fix this CCP, thanks

From what I can see, the problem seems to be connected to downloading

i loged on morning with no problem but now client don't start -
error message: An unexpected error occured Please try to restart the Launcher or to run the Repair tool

same. when i ran the repair tool it seemed to update then disappear. Happened again after redownloading the repair tool.

Same! Was logged in just fine then my laptop froze, restarted and now getting the same error everyone else is getting. I better not die out in space.
