ATTN: Everyone moaning over the new UI and anything else

I don't agree with more clicks, I find it quite the opposite, also POS life became much more comfortable for me.

Windows not remembering positions is a real issue, but I don't think it's that difficult to fix.

Anyway, complaints like yours are bound to get more constructive replies than the countless of ridiculous posts that now flood GD.

This is a self-destructive streak that CCP has had for many years now, and it doesn't look like it's going away any time soon. As a result, you kind of have to learn to live with the shouting because as soon as you concede that there are issues (and I know you're not dumb enough not to do that), shouting and threatening unsubs have sadly become the only means of getting the message through. Would I prefer it to be otherwise? Definitely, but these are the devs we've chosen… Straight


In fact, if anything, I'd say you've got it the completely wrong way around: it's the whiners who keep saying the system is working who consistently fail to offer any shred of substance to distinguish their nonsense from sheer trolling. All they can say is “shift-click”, which, as has long been established, doesn't actually solve any of the problems people are having.

45K a year! I'm astounded. However, also curious. Is that a currency we're talking about here. I know it depends on where you are in the world and comparative buying power, but if 45K is a sum that sends you into giddy, hedonistic behaviour then more power to you. Personally 45K a year MINIMUM would put me on about par with the Cisco Engineer at McDonald's. However, if you're feeding those kids left over burgers then it is all probably OK.

We're all very interested in your opinion on the new UI. I'm confident it will be an evidence based argument drawing on your full technical background of Cisco like buzzwords.

That is exactly why I compare these three, font & Neo-Neocom were both purely net improvements, with 0 functionality lost.

That is just blatantly wrong Lol stomping your feet and crying works well when you are 2 years old and you parents stupid, but every single adult being and organisation responds better to positive, constructive feedback. Unsub threat is just another form of violence, trying to force your own will over others.

I'm not bittervet enough to see CCP as ignorant and stubborn.

They, and I, are content with the new inventory. It has very usable features that improve my workflow.

Anyway Darth Kilth kindly provided a list of legit issues that obviously need to be ironed out, but threatening to unsub over the quirks is just bloody ridiculous and all those posters need a healthy dose of fresh air.

Eh no. The necom was a reduction in functionality in terms of how well it handles chat channels and other, similar multiples of windows of the same category.

The current UI is not a case of net improvements: it adds two things, solves a third, but breaks so much else that it lands squarely in the negative in terms of functionality. It may very well be that the functionality lost was something you never used, but trust me: it has lost far more than it has gained.

You should try electronic ciggs. It means you can smoke inside without having to stop what you are doing. If you buy an expensive one, they are actually very much like having a normal cigarette, and over the long term cheaper than smoking normal tobacco and far better for your health.
