I read General Discussion and see many many negative posts about Inferno.

I would like to add my voice to the crowd of people that actually like it. Overall, its fantastic, thanks CCP for the good work, may you keep it coming.

Most complaints seem to be about the new inventory system. It sounds like these people have not given it a chance yet, and complain about the possibility of an extra mouse click or two every now and again. It sounds like many fear change because it is change.

Overall, these complaints sounds petty, narrow minded and childish.

At the end of the day, Inferno is a net positive.

The complaints about the inventory aren't just from people who now tried it and haven't gotten used to it, but from people who find it simply bad for certain activities within the game. It does some things better, but a lot worse and slows down many basic operations for no other reason than, that CCP wanted to treat all inventory windows the same. Even if you ignore those functional deficits, it's also so full of bugs, that even basic things like it staying open or closed aren't working properly. We have complained about these exact same issues for weeks now with detailed feedback and even videos of the problems, with no result. Naturally people are somewhat upset.

These problems would be acceptable, if it was some secondary system, that was badly needed and had to be rushed in a hurry or was new so they didn't know how people would like to use it. The thing is, that it's one of the primary UI pilars in the entire game, that replaced an already well functioning system with loads of existing usage patters. There was no need to ignore the test server feedback and rush it out the door with so many obvious bugs and lacking features. I'm sure it will get fixed given enough time, but the whole mess could have been avoided, so any crap that CCP gets for it is entirely their own fault at this point.

Why is not liking something 'childish'?
