Cons:
1) takes forever to load the window (I do have a shitton of stuff, but i didnt have to wait this long before)
2) Icon no longer at the bottom of my neocom. I wish i could move more icons down there, and you've now moved them ALL UP.
3) Assets window still ugly.
4) Change. Obama, Socialism, Satan, etc

Pros:
1) I can now more easily access a carrier's pockets and fill them with joy much faster
2) Icons look newer, item UI no longer looks like its from 1995
3) Filters are awesome. I've been using station cans for this, but i can now eliminate some of those.
4) "Open in New Window" ... Words... Cannot... describe...

Mehs:
1) Index/Filter pane is scaled with the window size. It should be fixed width or re-sizable manually, not scaling.
2) There is a 'Drone Bay', but not a "Cargo Bay" option
3) I can no longer admire my vast collection of ships via their icons.

Expanding this post:

Cons:

2: You know you can drag the icons, right?

Mehs:

2: The cargo bay option is the ship itself, I don't see the need to duplicate functionality.
3: Click ships. Now you can~

You cant drag the icons all the way down to where the Undock button is, like it was pre-patch. It just floats back up.

Im aware the ship name works for the cargo, i just like to see a Cargo option in there. Besides, most players will only ever see the Drone Bay feature, kinda silly to have a dropdown just for a drone bay, on every ship.

a minor point with it which can be annoying for those who haul ships and equipment, you can no longer drop repackaged ships into the item hanger and have them go into the ship hanger ( handy if hauling lots of repackaged ships and mods). You have to drag the ships to the ship hanger and items to the item hanger if you managed to get a mixed selection nothing will get moved

The major problem with it is that its not been streamlined for every day actions - the things that people have done day after day, year after year with the inventory in eve now take 2-3 extra staps and/or messing about with opening up extra windows, etc. all the while having to work through a bunch of extra options which while useful are redundant for doing most every day actions.

Its a great concept but the original system was less effort to use.

The issue with putting a cargo bay option there is that you have two actions that produce the same result in very close proximity. It's completely redundant and bad UI design. On the other hand, the drone bay is a separate beast altogether and therefore needs an option - or would you rather it be hidden in right-click menus again?

This makes me sad. I hope they fix that... and pretty sure they will

I disagree. With the "Open in New Window" option alone i will be saving tons of time. The only thing that takes longer with this new UI is loading the window the first time. Once its been opened once, it seems much faster then the previous design. Also much easier to move items to/from ships, and filter certain items so you can quickly fit your ship, or gather that ore

I've been saying this quite often today - this is the first stab at rewriting an old and stale part of the EVE UI. The "workflows" that have arisen are usually due to the quirks and badness of the previous UI system. You can't expect CCP to completely duplicate the functionality of the previous system in a 1.0 patch and I can pretty much guarantee you it -will- get better.

1 - No benefit for the large percentage of High Sec'ers.
2 - No benefit to gameplay.
3 - Just because you have no can, the different window panes for each one must be found. So...no change.
4 - This is what we had before. Just with other buttons.

Now we are left with meh's and con's. Still as bad as they say tbh.

lolz, keep telling yourself that, its neat

The reality is that its often counterproductive and relies heavily on small mouse targets, anyone that know anything about ui design in will tell you that's not so good.
