Hi!

I would very much appreciate if you could tell me what to choose between:

Raven Navy Issue
and
Scorpion Navy Issue

I did hear that a Tengu would be the most desirable, but I don't have the skills and neither the money for that.

So I have to choose between those two.

Thanks in advance!

Between the two of those, Raven.
It's a much more capable ship for soloing level 4's.

Navy raven is always a good choice.

Buuut... if i'm really short on money, would the Scorpion work as well?

Like get the Scorp, gather isk then buy Raven... Would that be feasible?

if you are new and have low skills go for the navy scorpion first. it has less damage but better tank, so it is harder to lose. after you get your skills up and get some experience with the missions, you can switch to the navy raven.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Ok, ty. And the Scorp would be...... active tank, yes?

Got it, still I have the odd feeling that it is (a lot) slower than my standard Raven.... Is this just and impression?!

Let's not draw this out. Raven or CNR are better for missions.

That's an impression. Same dps out of same 6 launchers. Unless you fit torp Raven, where the missile velocity bonus wouldn't be wasted. But torp's not really viable for pve Raven anyway, despite the bonus.

Between SNI and CNR, CNR has one more launcher for more dps, SNI has more of everything else (tank, cap, mobility, # slots, slot layout, etc).

CNR:
7 launchers, 6 mids, 5 lows
5% rop bonus, 10% missile velocity bonus per lvl

SNI:
6 launchers, 8 mids, 4 lows
5% rop bonus, 5% resist bonus per lvl

CNR needs to be fit for full gank to be effective. A 7 launcher 3 bcs CNR does the same dps as a 6 launcher 4 bcs SNI, at which point, the SNI will have better cap , better speed, and far better tank. Fit CNR for cap booster and full gank, otherwise, there's no point.

I prefer the SNI. You can fit to get similar dps to the CNR but you also get the extra mids for a TP or 2, which will make applied DPS much better. I run with 3 rigors and 1 TP and an explosion radius implant. This means I can use fury's all the way down to cruisers.

Get Navy Scorp to save isk. It works wonderfully. Use active shield tank with x-large shield booster.

Sorry It was abit of a flippant answer, to clarify; given the bonuses, and slot layout of the Scorp, it has a much larger tank, although less DPS than a CNR. The CNR gets the job done fast through its damage. Therefore the Scorp can do missions at a more leisurely pace due to its tank. It can also fit an omni tank, allowing less time swapping hardeners if one choose too, which again went to my point of being "lazy".

Why waste RL money to make fake internet space ship money that only buys you derision from other dudes that give more respect to a turd lying in the grass? But in your case, they would rather step on you (funny that Blink). Cancel account and go elsewhere that does not have such boring PVE content as EVE where other people at least respect your choices without comming off as the ******* that dropped that turd.

keep the standard raven till you have the iskies that you can afford the navy raven. navy scorp is at best a bit of a side grade from the raven.

I went from Navy Scorp > Navy Raven, it's nice to have the tank bonus to help guide through your first time going through L4s, I know I messed up and needed the extra tank quite a few times as a newbie. When you're comfortable you'll want more dps, then get a CNR and use the classic 3xRigors + Cap Booster + 4xBCUs setup.

If you want a navy scorp, you would probably be better of taking a rattlesnake imo.
But then you would have to train drone skills and gallente bs tho.
But if you wanna be indestructible in your missions and also have a nice damage output, this is what i would aim for.

Well, I don't have the skills and also.... a Rattlesnake is about what? 3 times more expensive than a Scorpion Navy Issue?

lol.

first, if one can produce the necessary isk in a month, then plex can be bought => no RL money invested...

second, doing PVE means i don't interact with others ingame, which is perfectly ok for me => no "respect" issues...

so all you said trully has NO logic whatsoever...
