eve gate chat channels?

with the API updates in game, can it not now be possible to allow chat channels in game be displayed on eve gate? This would help a ton with keeping in touch with players, recruits, and others when you are not able to run the client (ie. at work, on the road, ect).

I would really like to chat with friends when not in game without having to launch a client or use a third party service.

+1 , would love to be able to keep communications up while on the road, f.ex via SmartPhone or tablet.

currently evegate is able to work on a smartphone, granted it's not very user friendly but it does work. Further refinement and chat would be awesome

Supported. If I have something I want to ask corp-mates about and I can't open the client (because I'm at School, for example), I would like to be able to ask them right away, rather than have to wait until I can open the client and then have forgotten the question.

I have wanted more offline options since Eve is so... involved. I spend more time out of game doing research than I do playing the game sometimes. Well... it's also not a good idea to play the game at work, but y'know...

I'm pretty sure that at the Fanfest -talking about the new laucher- they said that in the future users will be able to log in EVE Online directly from the launcher and that, maybe during a patch, they will be also able to use the ingame chat System.
Idk if I heard wrong but that would be really interesting. Smile

this is external from the client or launcher, something that is used like evegate and can be used by only a browsers via pc or smartphone. Communication is a big part to knowing if your station is under attack when you don't have the client running or a major engagement that you need to be part of but just were not online with the client at the time.

Make the eve community more social please?
