I'd just like to take a minute to remember the Merlin. RIP rocket mounts and optimal bonus that made blasters will null kick ass. You will be missed.

I am sorry.

I can't hear your thread over the sound of the lasers I will be fitting to my Punisher.

I am looking forward to trying this bad boy out.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

The new frigs have created such an outburst of public sentiment that I have been up in the attic all weekend trying to dig up the old antifrig cruiser set ups from yesteryear... Shocked

TBH I'm slightly disappointed...

The Insursus should really be more assault formatted than combat IMHO, it's relatively fast, hits hard and (to my mind at least) doesn't really benefit from the dubious added staying power of a rep bonus... I've lost a heck of a lot of Incursi over the years and rarely got more than a cycle or two off the rep before I'm getting my pod out.

Given that the previous bonus had been falloff and therefore actually potentially useful I'd have stuck with that (leaving the bonuses unchanged as with the Rifter) or potentially considered a tracking boost to make it more of a mini-Mega'...

the extra slots are nice, but the rep bonus is not beneficial on a thin t1 frig.

This double rep/injector little beast can take larger targets hands and head up, problem is dps a little tight, but it's just my opinion.
However a gang of these better run to get a smartbomb something fast Lol

It could be for many noobs starting out trying to run their noob missions in a T1 frig.

Of course most will try to dual tank it and die anyway.

How?

Merlin has no range bonus anymore. No highs for a neut as well. Incursus has the same amount of turrets (same turret damage) but some drones in addition. So you say it's because buffer > repper?

probably because of mse+blasters possibly being better than repping

I think the resist bonus is just better than the active tank bonus. Both are already very good ships though and both get allot better.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

All to true.

I know EVE fits are about the exotic as much as the cookie cutter but maybe we wouldn't have so many drop outs if they got rid of the most useless of all modules like 50-100mm pates and had a basic guide to the principles of tanking and weapons. A Ship fitting guide book that stresses how basic it is and focuses on low skill.

A lot of people don't use outside internet sources or make friends quick and you can bet this has a lot to do with the very high newbie attrition. Most vulnerable time for loosing a sub is in the first few weeks and a little information goes a long way.
