/facepalm...

Still waiting for someone to get it in their head that they'll make cash with cheaper price point items for general customization that people will want.

Not everyone gives two ***** about fashion. You're telling me HANES makes no money because they're not in the fashion industry? You need to cover the breadth of $1 to Ridiculous dollar items.

Actually an issue: CCP does not want things to be too popular, as it would spike the price of the PLEX. They got to introduce new stuff slowly to make sure that does not happen. If it did happen then people would drop accounts funded with PLEX, and that would hurt their profit. CCP is walking a fine line here, learning just what they can and cannot do with this new feature. In fact I think the recent PLEX sale was an attempt to lower the PLEX, which was at about 400 million (And is again).

Question to CCP: One reason for the Nex store was to try to clear out some of the inventory of PLEX us players have stockpiled. Is that working?

That said, I think there does need to be cheaper price tiers. The lowest tier CCP calls "affordable" and consists of 1000 AUR items. I think we need a "Economy" tier around 200 per item, and a "Basic" tier at 50. That way even new players could start using the Nex store and aspire to the good stuff.

I'll go on the record and state unequivocally my endorsement for this item. I would pay $50 for backless chaps.

Maybe Time To Penis as CCP Soundwave stated is nothing compared to Time To Ass if they would introduce this.

I shudder to think what kind of portraits would be made...

PLEX prices could have spiked, then dropped again. I'm not totally convinced with that being the reason for the launch of the NEX prices as they were released anymore. I believed as you did at one point however.

Prices on PLEX have been going up, but it's not because of consumption for NEX goods, it's because of reduced player consumption and purchase of PLEX in general. It's not massively lighter, but i would say on average about 100-200 less plex are bought per day in JITA, and prices are up to 400M right now and haven't peaked yet. So, there's one thing happening, less being bought with $$.

If more plex ARE going to clothing. The situation isn't that different anyways.

Essentially, the only way to promote the purchase of more PLEX is going to reduce the $$$ price of PLEX. This is going to make AUR cheaper, to increase the amount being able to be used for player game time. Between the two, more than likely, you're going to end up with AUR being worth less than $20 for 3500 AUR.

Yes, there need to be sub 500 AUR goods for the general person that may only ever want a full set of cheap customized clothing, even if it's nothing fancy and will be out of 'Style" quickly. Random Cheap T-Shirts, etc.

I would buy 10 100 AUR Shirts to have to swap around, rather than 1 1000 AUR Shirt. You make the same money, I get more of what I want, and more customization. I'm not going to buy 1 1000 AUR Shirt that stays in one location, and when I jump clone doesn't come with me. BUT, I will buy 5 100 AUR Shirts of the same types for each of my Jump Clones so I can have it with me if I really want it.

Not everyone is going to keep up with the latest fashion trend. I know what I want my character to look like, I know what it will look like most of the time, and sure I'll definitely change clothes often for fun - but not at the current price point.

The idea of getting people "hooked" starts with putting goods at cheaper prices then getting them to get into the higher price point goods as they start to appreciate what this offers you and your satisfaction. You don't get there with OMG WTF ARE YOU THINKING PRICES. Even if 100 people seem to be alright with it. You have another 300,000 potential customers, helloooo?

The NEX store will fail bigtime unless CCP drasticly drops the prices of Vanity items, atm as it stands its just way to expensive, i have bought a few things at the launch of NEX store when they where first released, but the novilty has worn off, especialy at those prices, i think if they lowerd there pricing to 500AUR+ per item and actualy have MICRO transactions as they first promised then alot more people would be willing to spend on Vanity items from the NEX store and CCP would actualy see that they would makemore of a profit than charging over the odds for 1 single item.

and on a side note to Vanity items and pricing, CCP also needs to stop charging more for different colour's of the same item, would anyone in RL pay more for a jacket or pair of jeans that look exactly the same but are in a different colour? i sure as hell wouldn't, it doesnt happen in RL CCP so get a grip please!!!!

CCP WHY are the nex batch of NeX items coming?

Fixed it for you.

Why you would want to pay additional fee's beyond a monthly sub for things that should be included in the game, is the real question.

Because, I, unlike your self, have an excessive amount of isk I am willing to spend on pointless crap, you may be poor, or uneducated as RL cash is not the only option for purchasing NeX items. So get out`

In general I think the 10 for 1000 vs 1 for 1000 will work better. just see how many people on xbox buy all kinds of "cheap" costumes n what not. The nex store imho is so insanely expencive that its not really worth buying from it. I would personally have expected stuff to be around 100-500 aur

I just noticed how there is a horde of apparel at the market (with no availability) and i am seriously fancying to buy different pieces of different colors to combine them when available. But that will be impossilbe when a single bloody skirt is worth most of a plex.

NEx prices must be cut by 60% to make some sense and be worth the fun they may provide. A "low tier" t-shirt worth the same as a battleship is bullshit.

Battleships come and go. T-shirts last forever.

(but seriously, I do agree with you)
