This fit began as a thought exercise. With all the 100MN cruiser fits you see, I got to wondering what a frigate with a 10MN prop mod would look like. After throwing together a 6 km/s Punisher, I got to wondering just how fast I could make a frigate that wasn't a Dramiel or Daredevil.

After entirely too much time in Pyfa, I present this monstrosity. Using all level 5 skills:

Base speed: 6,398 m/s
Overheating the MWD: 9,404
Overheating with Snakes: 11,730
Snakes + Quafe Zero: 12,317
With a Loki providing perfect boosts: 16,470
C6 blackhole? yes, please: 32,939

The warp disruptor is there because it can be. Nevermind highs; they'd be even more useless than the disruptor.

The 17.2 second align time means that once the Dram pilot picks his jaw up off the floor when a Cruor runs him down, all he'll need to do is turn left and he's out of point range.

Way back in the mists of time, I had an Angel BS drop a 1400mm howitzer. I wondered what such a massive cannon would look like on a small ship. I chose the Hurricane. I never built it, just because I didn't have the money at the time for such a silly fit. Maybe I'll do it now that I have spare cash laying around. For S&Gs. Because no one would ever do this.

1152 volley... 45 dps :P But also 500 m/s and 30K ehp.

I played with frigates for a while and found that the best powergrid you can get out of a frigate is with the Slicer of all ships (except for the gold and possibly silver magnate, and good luck finding one of those).

This requires both the CA-1 and CA-2 implants that we were given, plus a 3% powergrid implant to work with perfect skills:

I think the weirdest fit I ever EFTed that just might work was turning a Tengu into a cloaky Logi ship (because of a thread someone made asking for a cloaky logi ship for BlOps gangs).

I don't have the fit on me here at work, but I've used a plain Apoc will a full rack of Tachs and 4 damage mods, 2 tracking comps and a SeBo. It's basically a stationary long-range DPS application platform with a paper tank and no mobility. It does well in missions where things spawn at 90km (even more so when I realized that navy MF will hit for more than Standard out to about 90km so I don't even have to bother swapping ammo). Incidentally, it still hits cruisers orbitting at 20km most of the time.

You got me wondering how to improve that. Switching to three large transporters gives a 50% boost in reps. To get it cap stable I had to drop the DCU and lower the EHP about 10k but I'd say it's well worth it, especially if you have two of these.

I added two medium nos mostly because they'll fit, but also so your hypothetical logi pilots can get on kills without fitting some useless weapon. This thing runs 20-25% cap stable with perfect skills, so there's a good chance those nos will actually provide some cap warfare in a fight.

I know very little about Amarr fits, but I gave this a shot, and it was tricky. I think it does what you're saying. Definitely a paper tank, but awesome range.

I have a friend who lives in wormhole space that has a Tengu he uses to gas mine in! He won't link me the fit but says it has warp stabs, interdiction nullifier and five gas miner II's, also has the squad mining link for reduction in laser time.

He says it has made him enough isk to pay for itself over and over and he can be mining boss AND bait if necessary.

Whilst I applaud the idea I am not sure if I would risk such an expensive ship as a gas mining platform myself.....Big smile
