Ok. so lets get into this, IF DUST is a part of eve online and eve online is part of dust, being the same universe, then why should PS3 console players be able to participate in said universe without paying a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION like all the PC players.

Secondly, same universe, on two completely seperate gaming systems, lets be honest, its 2 seperate games, and should be treated as so. Ok there maybe in the future "if all goes to plan (tm)" there will be interaction, but isnt there also interaction on say battlelog between xbox, ps3 and pc with another online fps game, being able to view other peoples profiles nad comment etc. so this is hardly groundbreaking.

Hi All
But as someone who tried Dust at Fanfest. I am afraid it just proved I am to old for a reflex based first person shotter. So I wont be buying a PS3 to play Dust myself I'm afraid.

Don't say that. I know a guy who's retired and plays Battlefield 3. Stop making excuses. P

If anyone fears that DUST will attract children to EVE and that it will ruin the game - you only need to look at threads like this to know that children are already here.

The presence of the DUST 514 section in the forums implies that CCP expects capsuleers will want to talk about Dust Bunnies in ways other than fiction stories (which would go in Intergalactic Summit, if on the EVE forums at all), or complaining about scams (which would likely go in C&P or COAD), or talking about whether mouse + keyboard vs controller really counts with a PS3 game (OOPE), or discussing items that capsuleers manufacture for Dust Bunnies (which would go in S&I or MD).

Thankfully for everything else, there's the DUST 514 forum. Thus capsuleers have a place to discuss things like hiring Dust Bunnies, tactics for delivering gifts planet side, and perhaps talking about how to run a mixed capsuleer/Dust Bunny corporation.

If you don't like it, just don't read it. Kinda like all the sane people avoid COAD because it's just null sec smack talk and C&P is just endless people complaining about some capsuleers taking everything that's not nailed down when there is no security on corp hangars.

Because DUST is new and different to the old ways games related to each other.

*snip* .. Also, I know wtf dust is, how it ties into EVE, etc..

I don't have uber pc specs
I am not glorifying my pc ego, etc.. whatever else you morons can come up with. My gaming budget is limited so I've chosen PC as my gaming platform that I can upgrade incrementally. Not to mention FPS games are generally better on PC. I've been dying for a FPS based in the EVE universe and they finally give it to is then "troll face" it's for ps3..

I'll post more replies to some of the completely idiotic replies I've seen here so far when I get off work.

Apparently the exclusivity for PS3 is for one year or so.

There is an interview, I think it was at Massively but not really sure now, where they did hint that after the year, it may be available for PC. It's going to take at least that long to work out the kinks anyway.

No, this is an insult: You're almost as ugly as you're stupid.

Has the original Malcanis been sold?

I only ask because the formerly polite informative Malcanis has turned into a bit of a ranter lately.

On the plus side, this means that when it comes for PC, it will be less bugged...

Wait, this is CCP we're talking about... nevermind.

Then the slow revelations about the 'exploit' of multiboxing EVE and DUST and playing a team in DUST against your own PI/POCO setup for profit................sigh. And the beat goes on and on and on...........

Dust is not eve... dust is maybe the death of eve... nothing more.

Dust consol only?
Nex store?

Nothing more than CCP ******* you more. If dust can not be played on the ONLY platform eve is on it should NOT be connected to eve...

Anyone remember the BS ccp said... eve is what you play in your PC room, dust is what you play in some other room...

Ya how's that got so much money we have different rooms full of toys going CCP? Did you not lay off tons of people?

HMMMMMMM maybe should rethink that consol nub ****.

CCP's ******* us with the nex store... RL money SUB RL money items...

Now they are like O hey, wanta play more of "eve" go get a ps3... a tv...

Maybe it will drag all the DUST posts into its little self. I'm tired of asking they be moved to the children's section.

By the way, how long did you think the boys in Iceland would watch others making millions on free to play/micro transaction games and stay out of the trough? You really think this exercise in adolescent space fantasy would last "forever"? Guess again.

I dont know of 1 single friend who plays on consoles, who would fork out RL cash for a set of bunny ears, or tho's all new shiney sunglasses.

If thats thier plan to try and lure the FPS market into microtransactions the only way they could possibly do this would be mappacks....... And guess what, that would take staff, staff shich should maybe focus on the one successful game they have instead of entering a fast paced very ficckle market.

In all honesty, trololing asside, I can see this being the end of CCP. Lets jsut hope once they realise its a bad idea, they have the sense to pull out and not send eve down with the ship as well.

You know if you had a penny for every tear you have shed over DUST being a console game, you would not be poor and can afford to buy a PS3 easily.

0:50 "we cant work on eve and dust forever"

eve is one of the oldest mmo's out there that isnt hosted on private servers of diehard fans. its the most graphically and technologically advanced. and its the ONLY mmo that has had a constant rise in subscribers since its launched. why the hell does ccp keep thinking it needs to change its business model or appeal to a crowd that hasnt been with them for years.

admit its because you dont have WoW numbers ccp; i want to hear your dirty mouth say it.
