Scenario

A Corp has been accepted into an alliance with no active Wars or Wardecs.

Application is accepted and in the meantime the Corp receives a Wardec.

The corp will be in the alliance 10 hours before the war becomes active due to the 24 hour wait.

My question is does the alliance inherit the declaration for war or do they only goto war once it becomes active?

So if the corp is removed prior to the war becoming active, does that remove the alliances involvement?

My understanding is the Alliance only inherits the war if it is active but not the declaration, is this correct?

Maybe a Dev could answer this question as it is a bit of a conundrum.

Without going into the specifics, my understanding is that this system has always been pretty buggy. I've definitely put in a vote on a corporation, had them join an alliance (and it show in game that they were accepted) before I apply the sanctionable action, and then declare war on the alliance for 2mil (note that this was a few years ago).

I have also had weird bugs where I declare war on a corp joining an alliance, it glitches up and says I can shoot them, but I get concorded for it.
