Im just curious. People seem to cry about the goons a lot on here and provide nothing to back it up.

TURN ON SARCASM:

1 - Recruitment scam
--- Totally within the EULA, the recruitment page you are sent to TELLS YOU ITS A SCAM
2 - The invade highsec
--- Totally within the EULA, the fact that the goons (or anyone) can go to highsec and start ganking has been a game feature that has been used and abused wince WELL BEFORE the goons did it. Anyone remember the JITA RIOTS last year? no one seemed to get mad about that.... People outside Goons have fun with and participate in Hulkageddon every year. Its just a small part of the "EVENTS' in eve that are player generated and would never happen without them.
3 - The Mittani
---People don't like him, and I can understand why after his comments (although he was drunk) what people don't understand is The Mittani is actually rather EVE Smart and has generated more content for this game and its players than most people care to pay attention to

Honestly all I can ever think about when I hear it is an army of fat kids doing the truffle shuffle. A good second place visual is a 1940's mobster with a funny hat and fat lips mumbling 'Yeah! Yeah! See? See?'

Last time I checked... that gets you out of NOTHING.

Blowing up **** in HS is not content... camping a station in hs is not content... all it shows is it is way to easy to make isk in null... everyone bitching null sucks risk vs reward... all that did was prove not. That kinda money to toss around and not need to worry about your own space... ya lulz

1.) Their spelling is atrocious. (If they're going to post they could at least type out their diatribes on a WP package, and run spellcheck.)

2.) Their grammar is worse than their spelling. (No suggestion here. Once you're out of elementary school what's lost is lost. You can't regain what went down in the flood.)

3.) They are unduly repetitive. (I suggest a smacktalk seminar. Work out some new one-liners. Brighten up Local a bit.)

4.) I save the most aggregious for last. They simply do not hold Mother's Day in high enough regard. (Send that poor lady some roses. She'll love you for it. No, really.)

I never said that your post specifically was whining about the goons. I was merely saying that the existence of the Goons draws threads and posts whining about them.

I actually like the name. When I see it this image of the gigglefest they had when they dreamed it up (and assured each other of its coolness) just flashes through my mind. I don't know whether to smile at the irony or balefully shake my head at the linguistic ineptitude. (<----- used "ineptitude" in a sentence this year!)
